Today, I still want to praise bitcoin:native. While the NASDAQ has been falling more than 1% daily, Bitcoin has remained around $64,000, and even saw a slight rise today. This indicates that as funds pull out of AI and semiconductors, money has started to pay attention to Bitcoin. This is not just an increase in purchasing power but also a reduction in selling by holders.
Recently, Bitcoin's operations have still been conducted around dual currencies, buying at the low price of $62,000, while selling has been adjusted to $65,000 next Tuesday. Both sides generate around 20% of premium income. Price changes over the weekend should not be significant; the focus will mainly be on next week. Moreover, Monday doesn’t have any important data, and Tuesday's trading will end at 4 PM. I hope the price won’t rise too much, as I don’t really want to sell at $65,000.
This evening, WTI at $82 and Brent at $86 both traded. The war between the U.S. and Iran shows signs of escalation. Currently, my WTI cost is $78.72, and Brent's cost is $82.9. Regarding the war, I still maintain my judgment: despite the renewed conflict, both the U.S. and Iran are very restrained, avoiding a complete loss of control in the region.
However, it is indeed becoming increasingly difficult for both sides to maintain this balance. Just now, an advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, Rezaei, stated that if the U.S. continues its attacks over the next two to three days, Iran will end its previous strategy of deterrence and reciprocal retaliation, shifting to a full offensive and destruction phase. He also noted that Iran's previous restraint was to prevent regional conflict from spilling over, and the U.S. attacks have not been very sharp; both sides are waiting for a way out.
Continued warfare benefits neither side, so my personal feeling is that the current war’s impact on oil prices should be limited, especially as the price difference between Brent and WTI has widened to over $6. Now, relative to WTI, shorting Brent should be more effective.
Let’s see what Trump will say over the weekend.
