The ticket I bought was for the connection from Atami to Narita Airport, from Atami to Tokyo, and from Tokyo to Narita, with a transfer time of 20 minutes. I was quite lucky, it took less than 10 minutes to get to the Narita Express line, and my train was still 10 minutes away, departing at 14:05.

I found the carriage for my seat, and around 13:58, the train arrived. I thought, how could it be so early? But since it seemed that people were boarding, I wondered if this express train would wait longer, so I also got on. Then I realized that the route map seemed wrong; it was going to Chiba. Just as I reacted, the doors closed, and the train started moving.

The next stop was Shin-Nihonbashi. I hurriedly got off and waited for the train coming from the opposite side. At that time, it was 14:01, and I thought if the train could arrive immediately, I could still make it. However, unfortunately, this train did not come by 14:05 either, sigh😑.

I waited for 20 minutes, and around 14:25, I returned to Tokyo Station. I originally wanted to find an attendant to explain the situation for a ticket change, but after looking for a long time, I couldn't find a single attendant. Just when I was about to exit and look again, I saw the sign indicating that the next Narita Express was at 14:33, and the one after that was at 15:09. I went directly downstairs to catch this train.

This time I definitely got on the right one, but the Narita Express is fully reserved seating. I waited a long time for the train attendant to come, but did not see anyone, standing for about ten minutes before I thought to check the station. I found a direct train to the airport, without any stops in between, so I casually found a seat near the door. But I stayed tense the whole time, afraid someone would come and ask if I was in the wrong seat, thinking about it was embarrassing😅. Fortunately, the journey was not long, and I arrived at Narita Airport in 50 minutes.

Arriving at Narita Airport was half an hour later than expected, but there were still three hours until takeoff, so the time was still sufficient.
