This trip to Japan was truly an unexpectedly challenging journey. Yesterday, I took the chipmunk to a very famous Japanese restaurant, and to be honest, the taste was quite average. When it was time to settle the bill, I surprisingly couldn't use mobile payment, and I didn't bring my bank card.

When I was in Tokyo, I could use mobile payment, so I overlooked it. It was already 7:20 PM, and the restaurant was closing at 8 PM; the bank card was at the hotel, so I could only go back to get it.

As a result, I left the chipmunk at the restaurant and walked less than a kilometer back to get my bank card. Then I returned to settle the bill. The distance itself wasn't far, it would take about 6 minutes to walk back to the hotel from the restaurant, but on the way back, I did something very foolish.

The restaurant and the hotel have a significant height difference. The reason the return trip to the hotel was quick was that it was downhill, but going back was uphill. Google provided me with a 10-minute route, which I had taken before, involving climbing a long staircase, which is incredibly troublesome. In the end, I chose the downhill route and was thinking to myself how silly Google was for not knowing how to choose a route.

It wasn't until I started going uphill that I realized this was indeed the uphill route 🥲. The route Google provided was probably over 100 steps of stairs, and once I finished, it would be flat ground. I was walking on the road for cars; although it wasn't extremely steep, it was winding upwards, and walking it was simply exhausting.

I took 6 minutes to go downhill and 25 minutes to go uphill. The worst part was that I had just finished eating, and walking like this made my stomach uncomfortable, plus I was pressed for time and couldn't dawdle. As a result, this whole ordeal left me completely exhausted, and when I returned, I had initially wanted to watch the events, but I had no energy left at all.

However, this hotel was really nice. The environment was great, with a beautiful view, outdoor hot springs ♨️, and everything in the mini bar was free. There were tons of drinks and snacks, and I could even use the lounge. Both hotels I stayed at in Japan were great.

Tonight I'm going home, another very exhausting day. The flight is at 6:30 PM, and I won't be home until 1 AM. Although it was tough, this trip to Japan was very interesting. I met many new friends I had never encountered before and established business connections with quite a few of them. Japan truly is a very suitable place to live.
