This article clearly combines the upgrades of GPT and provides a new operational direction for future AI: the basic unit of using AI is transitioning from a one-time task to a continuously operating closed loop.

Previously, our process of using something like GPT to assist our work generally involved collecting information, making judgments, executing, and reviewing; AI only handled a small part of this.

For example, when I need to research a certain project, AI may assist me with gathering information and providing judgment support.

However, starting with GPT 5.6, the new way of AI collaboration transforms into: collecting and understanding information → proposing decisions and actions → human approval → execution → learning from feedback.

AI can continuously scan information sources, organize key points, suggest the next steps, and even perform approved actions; human work gradually shifts from "completing each step personally" to setting goals, defining boundaries, correcting the system, and making critical judgments.

The author refers to this working method as "tend your loop": do not just complete the tasks, but nurture the system that continuously generates work.

Of course, this model is not suitable for all tasks and is still in the early stages. It may require everyone to explore for a while and then find their own suitable way, possibly discovering many interesting things.

Currently, I can think of three scenarios that I would immediately implement:

1️⃣ Investment closed loop: market information → key changes → situational judgment → position actions → result review.

2️⃣ Content closed loop: materials and fragmented ideas → topic selection → content creation → data publication → summarizing what fits your style.

3️⃣ Community closed loop: group chat opinions → high-quality signals → weekly report draft → member feedback → offline activities → deep linking.

So what is AI compounding?

I think it is about gradually getting it to understand your judgment criteria, making the same process better each time.

In the future, what may differentiate people is not who accomplishes more tasks, but who establishes more working closed loops that can continuously learn and improve.
