The Japanese House of Representatives passed the amendment to the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act, officially categorizing crypto assets as "financial products," and plans to significantly reduce the income tax rate on eligible crypto trading from a maximum of 55% to about 20% as a key step towards separated taxation.
