This week is finally coming to an end, and there isn't any extremely important macro information for next week. The only somewhat significant event should be the Federal Reserve's meeting minutes, but I personally feel it isn't very meaningful, especially since there has been a gap since the end of the conflict between the U.S. and Iran. Speaking of conflicts, we should talk about the trend of WTI, which is roughly as I expected. It's difficult to go down around $68; especially since around $65 is already the average level before the conflict.
At this price, the significance of shorting WTI is diminished, and going long doesn't seem appropriate either, because the duration might be relatively short. Going long on oil is akin to going long on information, which might only present a very brief window, making it not very worthwhile. Therefore, personally, I'm not focused on oil anymore, but I still hold the position, and I can still earn some decent funding rates daily.
Next week, I will mainly start looking at gold, and then focus on dollar-cost averaging into the S&P and Nasdaq. This weekend, I shared a lot of data, including retail investors buying the dip during the index decline. I think although it seems to be in opposition to institutional investors, if the premise is to go long on America, it may not be wrong. Of course, next week will mainly watch if AI and semiconductors continue to pull back before earnings reports, or if they will first stabilize.
I've seen too much data about institutions and hedge funds leaving tech stocks, so I will be a bit more cautious in my personal choices next week, focusing on the earnings season in late July.
As for Bitcoin, today it fluctuated a bit. On Monday, the dual-coin expiration price of $63,000 still carries some risks. Actually, I didn't really want to transact at this price, as it was quite low. However, if I hadn't chosen $63,000, the yield would have been too low, which felt a bit greedy. Nevertheless, the trading of dual-coins should ideally be conducted according to the gold standard for more comfort.
Starting next week, I will also write more small lessons on options, hoping to help everyone.
