Sources say that the United States and Iran are discussing an early signing of the agreement.

According to Axios, the United States, Iran, and mediators are discussing moving the memorandum of understanding originally scheduled for offline signing on Friday to an electronic signing on Wednesday. This way, the parts of the agreement concerning the Strait of Hormuz might take effect sooner, and the United States may also publish the full text of the agreement. Currently,

there has been no final decision on whether to sign early on Wednesday morning.

Even if the signing date is advanced, the delegations led by U.S. Vice President Vance and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf will still meet in Switzerland on Friday as originally planned.

A senior U.S. official said that Trump, Vance, and Ghalibaf already electronically signed the agreement on Sunday, but the White House had previously stated that operational steps like Iran opening the Strait of Hormuz and the U.S. lifting blockades would only begin after the formal signing ceremony on Friday.
