The Skill-to-Agent two-stage linked hackathon jointly initiated by Pharos and Anvita Flow is underway, this is not an event that only looks at demos or concept presentations, but a global developer gathering focused on co-constructing the AI Agent ecosystem. Its core goal is very clear: starting from reusable Skills, gradually building the fundamental components of AI Agents that can execute, interact, and combine on-chain.

Now, the hackathon phase one Skill Hackathon has entered the countdown. Developers need to complete Skill submissions by June 17. It is worth noting that phase one is not just an independent Skill call for submissions, only those developers who win in the Skill Hackathon phase can enter the second phase Agent Arena.

This means that if you want to participate in the subsequent Agent construction and larger-scale prize distribution, you must take action now!

Key Information

This developer season adopts a two-phase progressive structure:

1️⃣ Phase 1 — Skill Hackathon (6.8-6.17)

Developers create standardized, reusable Skill functional modules as fundamental components for future AI Agent calls.

2️⃣ Phase 2 — Agent Arena (6.23-7.6)

Developers create complete Agents that can truly operate, trade, and interact on the Pharos chain based on the Skill library from the Skill Hackathon.

The results of phase one will be announced on June 22.

Phase one will select 40 winning developers, each receiving 500 PROS, and qualifying to enter the second phase Agent Arena to continue sharing in a 25,000 PROS prize pool.

Why is the first stage Skill, instead of directly making Agents?

Many developers may ask when they first see the Skill-to-Agent competition format: Why not directly create complete Agents? Why start with Skills first?

The reason is simple. A truly usable Agent is not a large and complete black box, but rather a combination of stable, clear, and reusable capability modules.

A Skill can be an on-chain interaction capability, a data processing logic, an execution component aimed at a specific scenario, or a standardized functional module that can be called by Agents. It does not necessarily need to be a complete product from the start, but it must be clear, practical, and able to be used by subsequent Agents.

This is also the focus of phase one of this hackathon: first solidify high-quality, reusable Skills, and then let these Skills be further combined into complete Agents in phase two.

In other words, the first phase is not a "warm-up match," but the foundational layer of the entire Agent construction process. The Skills you submit now may be the key capabilities for a complete on-chain Agent in the subsequent Agent Arena.

What do you need to submit by June 17?

The submission deadline for the first phase Skill Hackathon is June 17, 18:00.

During this phase, developers need to submit Skill modules that have practical uses, are reusable, and can be combined, focusing on the Pharos AI Agent ecosystem. Reviewers will focus on the originality, technical completeness, practicality, reusability, clarity of documentation, and alignment with the Pharos AI Agent and on-chain economic vision of the Skills.

This also means that entries do not need to pile up complex functions to "look impressive." On the contrary, a clearly defined Skill that solves real problems and can be quickly understood and combined by other developers or Agents is often more in line with the goals of phase one.

If you haven't started yet, you might first think about a few questions:

1️⃣ What specific problem does this Skill solve?

2️⃣ Can it be reused by different Agents?

3️⃣ Are its inputs and outputs clear enough?

4️⃣ Can it serve specific scenarios such as payments, social interactions, on-chain interactions, data analysis, task execution?

5️⃣ Can other developers quickly understand it and integrate it into their own Agents after receiving it?

These questions are more important than simply pursuing complexity.

40 winning developers will enter the next stage

After the phase one reviews conclude, the winners of the Skill Hackathon will be announced on June 22.

This phase will select 40 winning developers, each of whom can receive a reward of 500 PROS, and qualify to enter the second phase Agent Arena to compete for the remaining 25,000 PROS prize pool.

The second phase will revolve around constructing complete Agents, with developers needing to further combine, deploy, and showcase AI Agents that can operate on Pharos based on the Skills solidified in phase one.

For developers, this is not only an opportunity to submit Skills but also a chance to enter the early builder queue of the Pharos AI Agent ecosystem.

Agent Arena: Building complete AI Agents based on Skills

Compared to the first phase, the Agent Arena emphasizes the combination capabilities, deployment capabilities, on-chain interaction capabilities, and real use value of complete Agents.

This is also why the quality of Skills in the first phase is crucial.

A good Skill is not just to win the phase one reward, it may also become part of the Agents in the second phase. For participating developers, the sooner a clear, reliable, reusable Skill is completed, the more opportunity there is to continue expanding it into a complete Agent project in the second phase.

If you already have an idea in the direction of Agents, you can first break down the core capabilities into Skills for submission. If you do not have a complete Agent plan yet, you can also start from specific scenarios, complete a high-quality Skill first, leaving room for subsequent combinations.

In the final moments, which developers should sprint?

If you are familiar with AI Agents, on-chain interactions, tool calls, automated tasks, data processing, payment scenarios, or social scenarios, this Skill Hackathon is worth your attention.

This event is especially suitable for three types of developers.

1️⃣ Developers who already have Agent ideas but do not have complete products yet.

You can first break down the most critical capability modules of the Agent into Skills, complete submissions in phase one, and then advance to phase two based on reviews and ecosystem feedback.

2️⃣ Developers who are good at making tools, SDKs, plugins, or automation modules.

Skills themselves emphasize reuse and combination, so there is no requirement for you to create a complete application from the start, but it encourages you to deepen, stabilize, and clarify a certain capability.

3️⃣ Developers who want to participate in the early construction of the Pharos AI Agent ecosystem.

Compared to mature ecosystems, early-stage development values foundational components and developer contributions more. The more fundamental and practical your submitted Skills are, the more likely they are to be continuously used in the future Agent ecosystem.

Now there are only a few days left until the deadline. Instead of waiting for a "perfect Agent" solution, it is better to produce a truly usable, reusable, and combinable Skill first.

Pharos is constructing on-chain infrastructure for AI Agents, and Skills are the underlying capabilities that enable Agents to truly execute tasks.
