The aesthetic of Spark's risk control continues:
SparkLend raises the supply cap of wBTC from 3,000 wBTC to 30,000 wBTC, while releasing up to 500 wBTC of new capacity every 12 hours.
While encouraging lending, it also effectively avoids sudden liquidity risks, monitors utilization rates and default indicators, ensuring the safety of the protocol.
This is one reason I particularly like Spark @sparkdotfi—there is an entrance and an exit; even when expanding, risk control must be prioritized.
Previously, the clearing of rsETH kicked out unprofitable risks;
now increasing the wBTC cap brings in high-quality collateral.
One is subtraction, the other is addition, but the underlying logic is the same: only expand the asset range that one can understand, take on, and monitor.
Haven't you noticed? Under this logic, Spark has quietly approached the top:
🔹 A stable and large volume of liabilities;
🔹 The deepest liquidity of stablecoins across the network;
🔹 An increasingly strong ability to retain funds;
🔹 Stable TVL/net deposits and fee income = a stable capital base.
If I were a whale holding tens of millions of USDT in position, I would also choose Spark; theoretically, a high 2% APY would add a million dollars a year, which is far less meaningful than stability and safety!
Because in the future, what truly holds value in DeFi will be who has stable, cheap, and manageable large-scale liquidity.
