On the second day of the Hong Kong event, I went to bed at two in the morning. Many friends thought it was late, but this was the earliest I've slept in recent years. I naturally woke up around six, but considering today was another business day, I forced myself to sleep a little longer.
At noon, I met some friends I hadn’t seen for a long time, and I haven't chatted this happily in a while. Although there were a few minor incidents, I truly relaxed for three hours, and then I rushed to the main venue where I met several outstanding entrepreneurs. I lamented that there are too many startups forecasting the market these days, with all kinds of novel ideas, many of which even exceeded my imagination.
I personally believe that predicting this track is the biggest opportunity of the recent cycle, but unfortunately, current practitioners do not have enough understanding of the prediction market. Simply copying Ploymarket is difficult to succeed due to cultural differences and user-facing differences. Many entrepreneurs think that as long as they use USDT or USDC as payment, they are targeting the cryptocurrency sector, but this thinking is incorrect, which I discussed for an afternoon.
In the evening, I went to an event hosted by @okxchinese. It was really crowded, with friends everywhere. I heard the event location used to be the land king of Hong Kong, and standing on the balcony you can overlook half of Hong Kong. Thanks to the enthusiastic hospitality of the OKX team, @Cayne_okx, @Mercy_okx, and @mia_okx worked hard, and I also appreciate @OKX_Yuki for introducing me to the wallet colleagues, I am truly grateful. This time @Haiteng_okx has really lost weight; I estimate that by the end of this event, he will lose another 5 pounds, having run upstairs and downstairs no less than 10 times, making his face pale.
The event was great, and the scenery was beautiful. I had dinner at 11 PM again, and today I had spicy crab. To be honest, the taste was quite average, but being able to eat and drink with like-minded friends was the happiest part.
Tomorrow will again be a day of being forced to work. Although Hong Kong is quite nice, I still want to return to Singapore.
