Nashville, Tennessee, USA, April 10, 2026 —— One of the rarest physical assets in the seventeen-year history of Bitcoin: The original January 3, 2009 edition of The Times —— the newspaper in which Satoshi Nakamoto inscribed the front-page headline into the “genesis block” —— will be publicly auctioned from April 27 to 29 at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. This auction item is meticulously curated by Bitcoin Museum and Art Gallery (BMAG) and represents its largest curation event in history. BMAG is the arts and culture department of the publicly traded company Nakamoto Inc. (NASDAQ: NAKA) under BTC Inc.
The Bitcoin Summit 2026 Gallery spans 6,000 square feet, featuring four major curation walls, dozens of auctions, a live painting performance by legendary graffiti artist Mear One, the debut of the BMAG resident artist program, and a series of themed speeches. To date, BMAG has facilitated the sale of over 120 artworks in Bitcoin (all sold in Bitcoin) —— following a record sale of 20.14 BTC at the 2025 summit, this year’s Bitcoin Summit 2026 aims to showcase the exponential growth of the platform over the years.

Four core curation themes:Relics of a Revolution: Centered around an argument rarely explored in Bitcoin culture: the most enduring relics of this movement are not its code or tokens, but its acts of public resistance. This exhibition wall features protest posters created by Mear One during the Gulf War and the “Occupy Wall Street” protests; it also includes a sign held by Kolin Burges outside the Mt. Gox office during a protest, one of the most stirring personal acts of resistance in Bitcoin history; additionally, the framed version of the original The Times Satoshi Times newspaper, as well as the famousAmerican flag suit worn by artist Afroman throughout his court appearances and music videos. Coinciding with the exhibition, Bitcoin Magazine is launching a trilogy of special reports written by Dennis Koch, featuringQ&A interviews with the three protagonists. Koch will also lead a live forum during the conference titled "Viewing Bitcoin Art Through the Lens of Resistance." Some works will be auctioned through BMAG and Scarce.city.
Rare Pepes Did It First: Celebrating the tenth anniversary of the project widely regarded as the origin of crypto-native art and digital collectibles. The exhibition title is derived from a famous saying by crypto artist XCOPY: “Whenever you think you are the first, check if Rare Pepes did it years ago.” The exhibition includes valuable historical archives outlining the foundational role Rare Pepes played in the evolution of the global NFT movement.
History of Bitcoin: Featuring a large collectible print wall created by Smashtoshi —— Smashtoshi is a global artistic and educational community that presents the Bitcoin story through visuals, narratives, and immersive experiences. This edition comprises works from 128 artists, a total of 2,140 pieces, reinterpreting key moments in Bitcoin history, informed by original research and first-hand materials, from the roots of cyberpunk to global applications. The exquisite Genesis Edition series is now available forpre-order at Bitcoin Summit 2026.
Additionally, a duo exhibition will feature BMAG’s first resident artist Ksenia Buridanova alongside Pepenardo, whose MEMETIKRON series is relocated from its inaugural showing at BMAG in Nashville to Las Vegas. Buridanova's residency will span multiple international events in 2026, following her January debut in Nashville with Mysteria Memetica.
