Bear Market Journal: Don’t Lie Flat During Trash Time

To be honest, the recent market is quite frustrating. It's been sideways and declining, which tests one's mindset the most.

Many brothers ask me what to do at this time? My usual advice is: "Don’t stay idle, focus on learning, don’t waste this crisis."

Liquidity won’t disappear; it will only shift. Although U.S. stocks are currently suffering and are on a downward trend, good prices are often born out of declines. I believe liquidity will still be present in U.S. stocks, and in #AI, among these core opportunities.

As an experienced trader in U.S. stocks and crypto, I feel that the worse the market is, the better the opportunity for learning. Since the crypto space is now in "trash time," it’s better to focus energy on learning about U.S. stocks and AI.

Here are some recent observations and practical insights that I hope will help you:

1️⃣ The barriers to entry in U.S. stocks are really gone

In the past, playing with U.S. stocks meant opening accounts, wiring money, waiting for approvals, and worrying about hidden fees; basically, half the people were discouraged before they even started. But recently, the trend has changed. On March 18, the SEC acknowledged the tokenization of securities, which means that U.S. stocks are now legally on-chain.

For example, I now use #MSX, which allows me to connect directly with my wallet and buy using stablecoins; the interface is similar to Binance or OKX, with no learning difficulty. AI is the fourth industrial revolution, and everyone wants to invest in AI. Previously, when looking at AI stocks, valuations were quite high and hard to engage with. In this round of significant corrections in U.S. stocks, many have actually dropped into the realm of cost-effectiveness. For example, Micron Technology, which was previously $471, is now down to $321; I think below $300 is very attractive. This includes a series of leading AI companies, such as Nvidia, Microsoft, and Google, which have gradually become opportunities.

As for beginners in the early learning stage, taking advantage of the protection period, it’s advisable to read some company financial reports and start to learn about the flow of funds gradually. If you’re not familiar with individual stocks yet, you can start with ETF investments, which are simpler (such as #QQQ, #SPY, etc.), and they have also dropped into a suitable range.

Additionally, I recommend taking the time to check out this "Red Book" released by #MSX. Previously, U.S. stock research reports were a specialty of professional institutions; now MSX has organized these for you to view for free. This is a ready-made wealth secret.

📝 Finally, here are a few suggestions for brothers who wish to enter the market:

1. Don’t go all in: This is a learning period, not a do-or-die period. Opportunities arise from declines, and you can invest in batches.

2. Start with ETFs before individual stocks: If you don’t understand a company, start with investing in ETFs, following the S&P 500 or the Nasdaq to get a feel for the rhythm.

3. Learn and practice simultaneously: Seeing theory a thousand times isn’t as effective as practically buying 1 share.
