The boss is absolutely right; this is how I have always talked to the chipmunks. They may not study well, but their listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English must not be poor. If something unexpected happens in the future, even if I have to go abroad to work in low-end jobs and earn less than average, at least I can live a bit more comfortably.
A few days ago, I was telling him that if I hadn't entered the cryptocurrency industry back then, there is a high chance I would just be driving for Didi and delivering food now. The former market is very crowded now, and many white-collar workers are starting to take on part-time jobs. Recently, I saw on Xiaohongshu that it’s common to see people driving for Didi with a Maybach, Alpha, or a Mercedes S.
As for food delivery, let’s not even mention it; there are more and more delivery workers, and their income is getting lower. Recently, I checked, and the average income for food delivery in Singapore is still about 4,000 Singapore dollars. Of course, this income is not high, but the fatigue level is much lighter compared to China. This income is based on working six days a week, eight hours a day.
However, the income from driving in Singapore is quite low; taxi drivers have an average monthly income of less than 3,000 Singapore dollars, and Grab is slightly better at around 4,000 Singapore dollars. Mainly, Singapore doesn’t have the tipping culture like in the U.S.; although there are some service fees, they are included in the prices. I heard that in the U.S. and Australia, food delivery and driving earnings are quite a bit higher.
I've digressed. I am thinking quite openly; rather than compete in the domestic market, it’s better to compete in a larger world where there are more opportunities. At least the workplace crisis and job opportunities are a bit easier.
