In 2001, the verification of identity became strict. I wanted to change my household registration, but needed the original ID card of the account holder. The local person who helped me apply for the number that year was nowhere to be found, even searching for Chen Dexing was useless. Later, Mr. Chen said, why go through all this trouble? I'll pick a good number for you; you won’t need the old one anymore. I’ve been using this number until today!
