The main user of computers: may become AI instead of humans!

Perplexity launched the Personal Computer;

Simply put, Perplexity Personal Computer = "Convenient Deluxe Lobster": it's a convenient version of AIAGENT that can work for you 24/7.

This should also be the form that most people will accept in the future: providing you with a server that you can log in and use right away, making it painless for everyone.

Then I see that the changing interaction paradigm of the future might bring about a possible paradigm shift:

For the past decade or so, the subject of personal computers has always been humans; you open a Mac, click the browser, switch software, search for files, copy and paste, log in to accounts. The computer is your tool.

But in the future, could the subject possibly become "AI": the work in your computer is no longer something you operate step by step yourself, but rather you hand over the goals to a resident agent, letting it continuously run, observe, and process.

For many years, Apple's strongest moat has not just been hardware, nor system smoothness, but: your digital life naturally revolves around my devices.

The official narrative of Apple Intelligence also follows this logic: intelligent capabilities are deeply integrated into iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with many requests processed on the device side; more complex requests are handed over to Private Cloud Compute, emphasizing that data is not collected by Apple.

So Apple's approach is: to treat AI as a system-level capability, continuing to strengthen device centralization.

But the popularity of various Agents like Perplexity and Openclaw offers a new way of thinking: could it be that we do not need to own an operating system first, nor a chip ecosystem, but let AI directly take over the "layer that acts for you" on the ready-made Mac.

In other words, Apple guards the device entrance, while agent-type computer services seize the execution entrance.

Long-term, which of these two entrances is more important?

It may no longer be the former; what if the entrance to future personal computers is not a screen, but an agent? The one that truly has stickiness may not necessarily be the most elegant, but the one that saves users the most time.
