Several days ago, we issued the first wave of previews for the "Lobster Debate Conference." Frankly speaking, we expected the event to garner attention, but the enthusiasm exceeded our expectations. So far, the number of registrations has surpassed 500 people.
This is a number that is both exciting and a bit anxiety-inducing. The excitement comes from the fact that so many people are interested in our event. The anxiety stems from the fact that the originally planned indoor space can only accommodate a little over a hundred people.
To not disappoint everyone’s enthusiasm, we made a decision: to expand.
In addition to the core discussion area indoors, we will set up a projection broadcast on the large outdoor terrace of the venue, allowing more people to enjoy the evening breeze, drink, and participate in this collision of ideas about AI. At the same time, considering many friends who are not in Beijing, we will also launch an online live broadcast on that day.
Regarding the registration review, due to the large number of participants, we are working overtime to review the registration information. The review results will be sent to everyone via email by this Friday at the latest, so please keep an eye on your inbox.
If you are still hesitating about whether to come or are curious about what we have prepared, here are some special segments we designed for this "Debate Conference."
We don’t want the usual panel where guests sit stiffly on stage while the audience dozes off below. Therefore, we will adopt a special sharing method this time. We have collected the guests' viewpoints in advance and will set three debate topics based on their views, allowing them to share their perspectives in a confrontational manner.
Of course, the stage doesn't belong solely to the guests. The "Demo Open Mic" segment will also be open, inviting anyone who is creating with AI, working on an interesting Agent project, or simply wants to share a viewpoint that can't be held back, to take the microphone.
In addition to the clash of viewpoints, we have also set up some interesting segments at the event.
We will showcase an article that is entirely AI-generated and lacks human touch, as a satire and reflection on the current state of content production. We have also hidden an Easter egg in the article; the first three friends to find it will receive a Token reward.
Another example is the "Real Human Proof Challenge." In an age where AI resembles humans more and more, how do you prove that you are a real human? Our answer is: to play jianzi (shuttlecock kicking). Participating in the onsite jianzi challenge not only allows you to win Token rewards provided by our partner MiniMax, but also earn a specially crafted "Real Human Certificate." However, act quickly; the certificates are limited to 80 copies and will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis.
We also prepared a small gift for those attending in person. At the onsite registration desk, audience members who register at the front will receive a limited edition physical commemorative ticket, and the coupon of this ticket can be exchanged directly at the bar for a drink. Additionally, since the event is expected to end quite late, we have prepared a "Lobster Debate Exclusive 100 Yuan Voucher Package" in collaboration with Didi Chuxing for attendees.
We have set up the stage, prepared the drinks, and ready sharp questions.
If you are curious about the future of AI, if you feel anxious about the current wave of technology, or if you just want to chat and debate with a group of interesting people on a weekend evening, you are welcome to join us.
Scan the QR code on the poster, gather your friends, and we’ll see you this weekend.
