We should be the earliest investors to introduce opportunities in memory chips in the Chinese market.

We should be the earliest investors in the Chinese-speaking region to introduce investment opportunities in memory chips, and last September, when the stock price was over $150, we recommended Micron Technology #MU, Samsung, and SK Hynix, and publicly promised that if Micron Technology reaches $1000, I will publicly raffle off $10,000 to celebrate with fans and partners! 🧐

The release of NVIDIA's Vera Rubin platform will accelerate the #MU stock price's push towards $1000; let me explain the logic behind it!

If everyone thinks NVIDIA's Blackwell was already exaggerated last year, then the newly unveiled Vera Rubin platform from NVIDIA is simply a "black hole" in the memory world.

Because of my heavy investment in #MU, I check the spot prices for HBM (high bandwidth memory) and DDR every day. Watching the skyrocketing price trends, I am fully confident in this battle over memory chips and can responsibly say that the global memory shortage triggered by the Rubin chip has just begun.

1️⃣ Rubin is the "big eater" of the memory world.

Previously, when we talked about chips, we focused on computing power; now when we talk about AI, we focus on the "memory wall."

From "snacks" to "banquets": Four years ago, the H100 had only 80GB of video memory, and people thought that was the limit. Now, the Rubin chip directly offers 288GB of HBM4 memory, a true big eater.

This means one Rubin's video memory capacity is more than four times larger than the 64GB RAM of my top-spec gaming computer at home. So it's easy to understand why a 100% liquid cooling solution is now being used; imagine the heat generated by 288GB of HBM4 memory stacked up during high-frequency read and write operations—enough to cook sweet potatoes 🍠. Traditional fan systems would simply go on strike.

So the current logic is that NVIDIA has changed the AI competition from "who calculates faster" to "who installs more." Now, as large models grow bigger, if the video memory can't fit, no matter how strong the computing power is, it will just be spinning in place.

2️⃣ Ordinary memory modules have also become a coveted commodity.

Recently, when people build computers, they will find that the price of DDR4 memory modules has increased by 4-5 times compared to previous years. Many might ask, "Why is Jensen Huang grabbing high-end HBM4 while ordinary DDR4 is going crazy as well?"

This is the cruellest aspect of the supply chain: capacity shifting.

Currently, major memory companies are in a phase of large-scale capacity expansion but often need to "choose one." Therefore, in their choices, they can only ensure higher-end and more profitable directions like HBM.

There are only three companies in the world capable of producing memory: Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron. Since wafer production capacity is limited, to meet NVIDIA and those tech giants' (Alphabet, OpenAI) HBM orders, manufacturers must dismantle production lines originally meant for ordinary memory modules (DDR4/DDR5) to produce more profitable and urgently needed HBM.

Market calculations show that producing 1GB of HBM memory consumes wafer area and technological costs that are more than three times that of ordinary DDR5. Due to the influence of supply and demand, DDR memory prices naturally rise.

Due to market FOMO sentiment, many giants have also pre-ordered production capacity for the next six months, causing a severe spot price crash effect. The giants not only scramble for HBM, but to be safe, they are also hoarding various related storage components. This has made survival difficult for retail investors and small PC builders, with even the most basic 16GB DDR4 unavailable. The rare phenomenon of memory modules increasing by five times in a year has emerged, which is even more profitable than hoarding gold.

For us ordinary retail investors, if you are thinking about upgrading your computer or phone now, hurry up and buy the highest configuration; especially for memory, if you can choose 64GB, avoid 16GB, because it is highly likely to increase in price in the future, and the price increase might not be trivial.

And for our users investing in US stocks, companies involved in memory chips and cooling devices still have excellent investment opportunities. We have frequently mentioned these companies in previous posts, and they are continuously reaching new highs.

✅Vertiv Holdings (Ticker: #VRT)

Position: The "overseer" of data center infrastructure.

It is responsible for the power distribution and liquid cooling in data centers. The heat generated by Blackwell and Vera Rubin chips is astonishing and requires liquid cooling, and Vertiv is a monopoly-level company in this field.

✅Micron Technology (Ticker: #MU)

Position: The "granary" and "highway network" for AI computing power.

Micron is an absolute giant in the storage chip field. If NVIDIA's GPU is the brain of the computing core, then Micron's HBM3E is the ultra-high-speed transmission line closely connected to the brain. Without it, computing power would be idling; today's AI large models are extremely bandwidth-hungry. Traditional memory transfer speeds are too slow and will drag down GPU efficiency. Micron's HBM chips are stacked directly next to the GPU, greatly increasing data transmission speeds.

With the essential needs for Blackwell and Vera Rubin, every top-tier NVIDIA chip must be equipped with a large amount of HBM memory. As a major global supplier of DRAM and NAND, Micron is the biggest winner in this "hardware upgrade wave."

✅Korea ETF (Ticker: #EWY)

Since direct investment in Samsung and SK Hynix is not possible domestically, we can only take an indirect route; currently, this ETF fund has a scale of $16 billion, with the largest holding being Samsung Electronics, accounting for 22.4%, and the second largest being SK Hynix, accounting for 19.23%. Daily trading volume can reach $5.5 billion, with excellent liquidity, allowing large funds to enter and exit freely.

The companies mentioned above are basically all on #MSX; for trading US stocks, I choose to use the #RWA tokenized platform #MSX to invest and participate in the US stock market: http://msx.com/?code=Vu2v44

Early US stock investing fans and partners can private message me. After filling out the form, you can enter the US stock discussion and sharing community for free (currently limited to only 10 people per week, assistant review, may take a little time, thank you🙏)!
