How a person understands AI in the future will determine their future's height. However, most people are still stuck at the lowest stage.

First level: AI is a tool

This is the understanding of most people. AI is only viewed as a tool for improving efficiency.

Value at the tool level: saves time

Let AI write a report for you, compressing it from two hours to twenty minutes. A piece of code goes from checking documentation to directly generating it. This is the entry-level use of AI, and it's where most people will forever remain. The efficiency is improved, but the ceiling is very low because you are still manually operating on one task after another. What is saved is the operation time, but your working method has not fundamentally changed.

Second level: AI is an employee

Advanced usage. You no longer "use" AI for one task at a time but instead assign it jobs. Value at the employee level: completing tasks according to your instructions.

You set goals, provide context, define boundaries, and then it executes. You transition from "user" to "manager." This requires you to learn to break down tasks, clarify requirements, and define boundaries. Once you master this skill, AI is an employee, and one person can do what previously required a whole team. However, it is executing your instructions and your thoughts.

Third level: AI is a partner

You view AI as a partner, as a domain expert. Let AI operate freely, without constraining it with your existing mindset and way of doing things. What you need to do is trust.

AI is a domain expert. It can write code, perform analyses, and propose solutions; it excels in many professional tasks.

Build a platform like those talent-driven companies, allowing talent to create.

Why are these three levels important?

Because most people are stuck at the first level, believing AI does not fundamentally increase efficiency. The reason is simple: they have never learned how to "manage" and "collaborate."

AI will not replace you, but those who use AI will replace those who do not. This is not alarmist; this is happening.

Clarify what level you are currently on, then deliberately move down to the next level.
