This time, when participating in the #OKX New Year's Eve dinner event, I can introduce two people at most. One is Brother Wu @qinbafrank, my macroeconomic teacher, and the other is Houda. Brother Wu was the first to help me understand how macro factors can influence the economy, while Houda encouraged me to start sharing.

I met Houda in 2020, and in 2021, when he was still in the investment department at OK, I visited his office. We talked about why we missed the "zoo" opportunity for wealth, and concluded that we had completely detached from the Western meme spirit. At that time, in the era of WeChat public accounts and Weibo, what we saw was all based on "Chinese" content, while Twitter already had many English-speaking friends sharing. We hit it off and decided to publish our learning insights on Twitter to avoid missing out on such a feast again.

This is also why I always say that my posts on X are primarily for my own learning, and then for sharing. The purpose of my sharing is to strengthen my own judgment and to promote myself to not miss out on more information through sharing.

This was the beginning. Five years later, Houda asked me what the biggest change has been for me after writing on X. I thought for a moment and replied: More friends know what I am good at, which has reduced many barriers to direct communication with my friends. I also gave him an example: I have been looking at prediction markets recently and have published many articles related to prediction markets. Indeed, many practitioners in prediction markets have come to chat with me, and some have even sent me offers, simply because through my writing, they know what I am good at or what they lack.

This means an increase in opportunities for me. If I never wrote, I might still understand these things, but who would know that I understand? How would I express my understanding of this field? Then my opportunities would be much fewer. Even for commercial advertisements, at least I hope to find someone who can give advice on my project.

This should be the biggest change that writing has brought to me. I am willing to share, willing to make an impact, and willing to "help" more friends. This is not based on traffic, but on the knowledge of what I can do.
