During a period of poor market conditions

During times of poor market conditions,

it's easy to focus on short-term fluctuations,

or even pay attention to baseless rumors.

It’s better to give yourself some time,

to meet up with a couple of friends or even go alone,

to take a walk in a place with mountains and water,

to have a proper meal.

What truly consumes us in this world

is that we waste too much attention

on "things that are not worth responding to."

False statements,

money-making rules,

rumors, debates, emotional voices,

are appearing every day.

Their biggest temptation is not "true or false,"

but to create an illusion:

"I need to participate, or I will fall behind."

Especially when the market is not doing well,

this kind of information tends to appear more frequently,

you spend a lot of time focusing on it,

and in the end, you feel even emptier!

A few days ago, I saw a saying that goes:

In anxiety and turmoil,

what people need most is not answers,

but certainty.

I completely agree.

The external world is uncontrollable,

the market, the future, cannot be grasped.

So what can truly stabilize a person

is never about "figuring everything out,"

but whether you can still control some small and certain things.

For example:

What time you go to bed and wake up today,

whether you sit down and enjoy this meal,

whether you truly walk this stretch of road.

These may seem small,

but they will gradually build a "stable framework" in your heart.

I wonder if you have noticed:

The moments when people truly lose control

are often not when things get worse,

but when they start to attack themselves incessantly.

Feeling not clear-headed enough, not hardworking enough, not judgmental enough, leading to more information scrolling and anxiety; the more you focus on the noise, the less power you have.

Life is never won by "staying alert all the time."

It’s more like a long road that you need to keep walking.

In recent years, I have preferred those "simple" choices:

When the outside world starts to make noise,

and the market begins to decline,

I deliberately simplify my life a bit.

I go for a walk.

I watch the flowing water and the shadows of the trees.

I put down my phone,

and bring my attention back to my body.

Then I meet up with friends,

or even if I’m alone,

I have a proper meal,

not a perfunctory one,

but sitting down,

knowing what I am eating,

knowing that I am still living.

In that moment, you will realize,

the world has not collapsed.

You have not lost control.

I know—

only after you settle yourself down,

can you have the energy to face any storm.

With mountains and water,

with paths to walk,

with a meal to enjoy thoroughly.

That is the greatest gift!
