The key to being sick is not to treat your child like a patient,

The key to investing is not to see yourself as a hero.

1️⃣ Take care of your health: Go with the flow!

Recently, the flu has been rampant, so everyone should take care of their health.

Today, both of my kids caught it too,

and after a quick check at the hospital, they were diagnosed.

In the past, when my child was sick, I would be quite anxious,

but over the years, I’ve noticed a significant change in my mindset.

I can now fully accept these situations,

because since I can’t control it,

and since they have to catch a cold at some point,

I might as well “enjoy” the process.

Am I anxious? Not at all!

Because I know that anxiety doesn’t solve any problems.

Since catching a cold is a normal part of life,

I accept it and move through it.

When they have a fever, just rest easy,

and when the fever subsides, continue living like normal:

doing homework, crafting, playing Zelda,

and also enjoy some exclusive parent-child time.

Anxiety doesn’t change any problems,

it only makes you feel bad.

It can also make the child more nervous,

as if the cold is their fault.

Don’t treat your child like a patient.

When you relax, they will feel relaxed too.

2️⃣ Make good investments: Go with the flow!

Today, I came across that classic quote from Charlie Munger again:

I wish I knew where I was going to die, and then I’d never go there.

If I knew where I would die,

I would never go near that place.

The market is the same:

When the market is bad,

there’s no need to rush, no need to compete,

and don’t jump into a pond you’re not good at.

Only act on what you understand,

and never touch what’s outside your circle of competence.

When the current market is not good,

isn’t it also the best “settling period”?

Recognize yourself, maintain your pace, and wait patiently,

when the flowers bloom, you will naturally be in the right position.
