The quantum threat to BTC is getting harder to dismiss.
IBM projects an error corrected quantum system by 2029. BlackRock flagged quantum computing as a risk in their Bitcoin ETF filing.
@BTQ_Tech is building quantum resistant infrastructure to fix this.
@btc_quantum (BTQ) is a parallel network on Bitcoin's core architecture where the ecosystem can stress test post quantum cryptography under real conditions before going to mainnet.
A quantum computer running Shor's algorithm can break ECDSA, the signature scheme that secures Bitcoin transactions. That would allow an attacker to derive a user's private key directly from their public key.
BTQ supports multiple quantum resistant signature schemes so that if one gets cracked, the network isn't compromised. Transactions can require validation from several different algorithms at once.
Beyond just fixing signatures, BTQ is also working on a new mining mechanism designed for quantum hardware that could dramatically cut energy consumption.
More than 4 million Bitcoin sit in vulnerable addresses due to reuse or older formats. Adversaries can harvest exposed public keys now, store them, and decrypt private keys later when the hardware catches up.
With BTQ, exchanges can rehearse migrating billions in vulnerable coins under real network stress. Hardware wallet manufacturers can validate new signature schemes across millions of devices.
Developers can simulate worst case scenarios without risking mainnet stability. BTQ's infrastructure moves quantum from an unquantifiable catastrophe toward something institutions can model and manage.
For 2026, the focus is hybrid signatures where transactions are signed with both current and quantum resistant keys. By 2028, BTQ aims to integrate with major exchanges and wallets.
BTQ is the evolution of Bitcoin for the quantum age, leading the secure migration path while the quantum risk is accelerating.
