🧐 Let's talk about the first CCA auction project on Uniswap @Uniswap, Aztec @aztecnetwork | Can a16z's 75% discount price be "scooped up"?

Recently, Uni launched their latest Continuous Clearing Auctions (CCA) to guide liquidity for new tokens on v4. They announced the launch of Continuous Clearing Auctions (CCA) aimed at guiding liquidity and public price discovery for newly issued or low liquidity tokens on Uniswap v4.

The first project launched is Aztec @aztecnetwork.

Aztec should be an established project;

It is the first truly decentralized privacy Layer 2 on Ethereum, with investments from a16z, Paradigm, Vitalik, and the founder of Aave.

I remember it gained some popularity during DeFi Summer with zk.money, and now that the privacy sector is heating up, they seem to be taking advantage of the momentum with a rather unique public sale method: Continuous Clearing Auctions (CCA).

Proposed in collaboration with Uniswap, it uses an on-chain method for price discovery.

From what I understand, the CCA means: no need for speed, no quota snatching, no private allocations; anyone can participate; the starting price is very low, and it automatically adjusts with rising demand, with transactions settled at the same price every block.

In simple terms:

Bidders queue up, and in the end, everyone transacts at the same fair price.

This public sale accounts for 14.95% of the total token supply, with over 300,000 whitelisted early birds able to participate before December 2nd. The official sale time is from December 2nd to 6th.

The auction is set with an E-based standard, and the presale has already seen a commitment of 5,500 ETH with TGE 100 unlock, starting at a price of $295 million FDV. This starting price is relatively reasonable in the public chain sector, but given the poor market conditions, everyone should calculate for themselves; I think the cost-performance ratio is still acceptable.

Mainly because privacy is a huge demand and one of the strongest narratives in this round, and since Aztec is the first CCA project on Uni, could it provide some gains?

I’m sharing this for everyone to discuss whether to participate based on their own situations!
