During the train's journey

During the train ride, I reflected on this trip to HK and felt that there would still be many insights, so I decided to write them down!

I want to say: Every trust you plant today will pay you back exponentially in the future—

I wandered around HK, originally planning to go hiking and get a membership, but many friends invited me to various gatherings, leading to many unexpected gains. I think this is the benefit of going out and making connections!

I previously read a book called "Never Eat Alone," and every outing makes me aware of the book's content, so I’ll share it with my sister:

There are a few directions in it that I really resonate with:

1️⃣ The Foundation of Trust:

Every trust you plant today will pay you back exponentially in the future: this means that truly strong relationships are established before you need them. Over time, you see people's true nature; reliability is not what you say, but what others see you do. Relationships between people are built slowly over time.

Conversely, if you do unreliable things and plant seeds of doubt in others, it may become very difficult to gain any resources from them.

I have a deeper understanding and recognition of the need to treat people sincerely.

2️⃣ Proactive Connection, Not Passive Waiting:

Many people's social mindset is, "If fate allows, I will meet friends." But the author says something I strongly agree with: Opportunities are created by yourself; you must take the initiative to approach others. Being proactive means: daring to speak up, daring to invite, daring to host events, daring to approach those you admire;

Many people are afraid to approach successful individuals, and many even hesitate to ask others for help. In reality, humans are genetically inclined to help one another. Once proactive connection becomes a skill, you will be incredibly powerful.

I established a community to provide everyone with a platform for proactive connection, which is far more useful than a wealth code.

3️⃣ Give First, Then Ask

Farage's motto: "Be a giver, not a taker."

Types of giving include:

Information (insights, resources)

Emotions (empathy, support)

Trust (unconditional goodwill)

Opportunities (referrals, collaborations)

The key is not the return, but: to make yourself someone others truly want to remember. This key factor requires meeting in person; emotions and trust are quite intuitive, and it’s hard to generate them without seeing someone.

So, the meaning of "never eat alone" is also here.

In summary, every outing deepens my understanding of this book: make friends through value, create the future through trust, and treat others with sincerity.

And I, will make others better for knowing me, and I will continue to grow stronger.

So, I am grateful for every outing, for the many friends I proactively met and who were willing to meet me. Most of the time, the help you give me is far greater than what I give you!
