Editor's note: Polymarket has become one of the most popular products in the crypto industry in recent years, not only due to its high product-market fit but also its significant real-world implications. However, while the Polymarket team is "fighting" on the front lines of the market and product, a fire has broken out in their backyard. On October 23, ProMint, one of the contributors to the Polymarket community, published a lengthy article claiming that the Polymarket community is currently being manipulated by a DAO team that claims to have official support. This team is engaging in nepotism, profiting massively, and "quietly purging members," with the complicity of two official members.

Although the article lists several chat screenshots as evidence, it ultimately represents ProMint's one-sided accusations. After the article was published, Polymarket's growth director LeGate commented that ProMint was found selling Polymarket accounts, violating Polymarket's rules, which ProMint subsequently denied.

But regardless of the final truth, this dispute at least reflects the fact that Polymarket's "backyard" is on fire. Odaily Planet Daily has fully translated ProMint's accusations against the Polymarket DAO mafia as follows, enjoy the drama!

This is not a blind accusation from "a banned user," but a story about how a few individuals hijacked the Polymarket ambassador ecosystem, exploited its structure, and punished anyone who does not belong to their circle.

From Open Community to Closed Mafia

I am one of the victims.

On October 21, I received the Polymarket community certification badge, which recognized my years of active participation, creation of Polymarket educational content, and assistance in the organic development of the community. I was excited to share this news publicly, and the post received over 7,000 views, dozens of supportive comments, and genuine excitement from users who saw my work.

But after joining, I discovered that what was once an open community of traders and developers has quietly transformed into a controlled core circle led by a DAO (headed by Atlantis Liquidity) that is active in Telegram groups.

In their own announcement, Atlantis proudly stated that they "have the ongoing support of the Polymarket team" and "DAO account badges."

This support grants them informal power to report, influence, or even revoke other members' badges or access. They allow the existence of "zombie accounts" to assist their close allies, while dozens of independent Polymarket community contributors are unjustly blocked or banned.

The community administrators who should maintain fairness, such as @0xTone and @williamlegate, have also become the "protectors" of the Atlantis group. These two administrators are extremely unprofessional, ignoring the community and only obeying the "mafia."

The Hypocrisy of Atlantis Liquidity

Worse still, this so-called "trustworthy DAO" has been disloyal to Polymarket from the very beginning. Just a few months ago, the leader of the group, Atlantis Liquidity, publicly called Polymarket a "scam" on X and promoted other competing platforms like Limitless and PNP Exchange, even mocking users of Polymarket.

Atlantis Liquidity claims Polymarket is a scam

And just weeks later, this person has now become the "official spokesperson" for the Polymarket builder community, controlling who can receive badges or DAO member roles. Now, he has self-appointed himself as the leader of the Polymarket community, setting rules for the community. But this is not leadership; it is opportunism cloaked in authority.

Feigning compliance while exploiting Polymarket's referral system for profit

One of the "mafia" members, d1namit, posted a promotion claiming that users who registered through his Polymarket link would receive a $10 reward, but this was actually a new user trap, abusing Polymarket's referral system and statistics.

Those who usually disdain others for "farming" to build their status are, in fact, full-time farmers themselves with multiple accounts. They feign compliance, while about 90% of the members in this internal group, including d1namit, Phosphen, Jasper, and other close allies, are secretly engaging in the very behaviors they publicly condemn.

They post "airdrop guides," "exclusive rewards," and "quick strategies" in Telegram groups and X, often accompanied by referral links and exaggerated promotions, such as "a $13.5 million funding pool," "over $3,000 in rewards," or "claim $10,000 early."

These activities are not about community building; they are essentially farming behavior and taking system kickbacks, merely disguised as "education" or "supporting Polymarket." They repeat the same tricks over and over, including promising free funds, promoting fake investment return screenshots, asking for follows and shares, while hypocritically accusing other independent creators of growing their influence faster of being "witches."

Yet none of them have faced any consequences for this; the group will ban small creators for posting badges or sharing genuine tutorials, while turning a blind eye when their favored creators abuse the system for influence and money.

Internal Mockery and Intimidation of Other Members

Leaked Telegram messages show that group members mock users who have lost their Polymarket community badges and joke about reporting them to the team.

"Since I'm being removed today, what's the need for a verdict?"

"Bro, I've already sent the report to the team."

This is not community management; it is blatant bullying. They even promote the idea that "there are moles in the chat room," with five or six insiders secretly reporting others to the administrators. The entire community environment has become filled with malice, paranoia, and anti-collaboration. Is this really what a Polymarket official ambassador with an official badge should look like? Should these people receive contracts and funding from Polymarket?

Selective Punishment and Suppression of Dissent

When users who do not belong to their small circle (such as independent creators or former project leaders) attempt to engage with the community, they are immediately labeled as "witches." There is no review, no discussion, and no transparency.

Even SUI community leader Nikita Vishnya was warned that his account "might be cleared" before any investigation even began. Even when Nikita tried to appeal the ban, they simply chose to ignore him, providing no reasons or evidence.

Another example is Pazjik, who had publicly supported Polymarket and even interviewed d1namit on YouTube, but lost his collaboration opportunity due to a harmless Telegram message.

The cause was Basher's post, which exposed how insiders were profiting from the Polymarket affiliate program by creating "zombie accounts," cycling referrals, and extracting multiple bonuses. The result was that Atlantis and his group members laughed in private chats and told others to "ignore him."

The reaction of administrators and ambassadors to a post exposing their fraudulent referral income scheme

Pazjik didn't even make a public post; he merely mentioned Basher's findings in a private Telegram chat, and within 24 hours, his Polymarket community badge was revoked without any warning or explanation. So, some people can slander the project for months without consequence, while others are punished for merely pointing out the obvious flaws in the ambassador system.

Meanwhile, those who are genuinely farming airdrops retain their privileges, which is a blatant abuse of power. A close friend of the group member Jasper, KCC (who recently received a Polymarket badge), also stated in a post:

"Polymarket infinite funding loophole, who knows?"

Although this post was quickly deleted, they openly regarded Polymarket's affiliate program as a means to make money, even jokingly referring to "infinite profits," knowing they would face no repercussions.

Polymarket Community Administrators Choose Silence

I attempted to contact two Polymarket community managers, @0xTone and @williamlegate, but received no response. No replies, no reviews, no internal processes; when users raise questions, they are banned; when they try to appeal, they are ignored.

This lack of transparency from community leadership severely damages Polymarket's credibility, especially for a project built on the foundations of transparency and "truth markets."

Nepotism Disguised as DAO Culture

The situation in the Polymarket community is now clear: a DAO claiming to have "team support" acts as gatekeepers of the community, rewarding close friends and punishing outsiders.

As shown in the image above, a third party warned me before I was to be removed from the Polymarket ambassador list. Where did they get this information? The answer is obvious.

New user rewards are distributed among a fixed group, critics are labeled as "airdrop hunters," and leadership turns a blind eye. This is a cryptocurrency version of nepotism, a small mafia organization operating under the guise of a DAO.

To the Polymarket Leadership

Polymarket is one of the most innovative projects in the Web3 ecosystem. Its vision of a decentralized prediction market driven by truth and incentive mechanisms is revolutionary, but no outstanding technology can exist in a corrupt community environment.

However, when trust is replaced by favoritism, when the selection of ambassadors is based on friendship rather than merit, and when early supporters are punished for raising questions, Polymarket loses the very characteristics that distinguish Web3 from Web2.

My investigation is not aimed at Polymarket's technology or founders, but serves as a wake-up call. The Polymarket brand is being eroded from within; the real issue is not Polymarket's critics, but those hired to represent Polymarket. The community should enjoy transparency, fairness, and accountability, rather than covert censorship and cliques.

While the Polymarket team has created one of the most innovative products in the Web3 space, parts of your community are undermining its integrity. Act quickly to resolve this mess before Polymarket becomes a typical case of "soulless technology."

Because right now, this platform, which is based on truth in trading, is being operated by those who avoid the truth.
