Even as cryptocurrencies become increasingly popular on Wall Street and among retail investors, few believe that the blockchain technology supporting them is useful or relevant to everyday life.
A crypto startup called Subzero Labs aims to change this situation and plans to launch its own blockchain—Rialo, which has attracted $20 million in funding led by institutions such as Pantera Capital.
So, what is Rialo and how do we interact with it?
1. Project Overview
Rialo is a blockchain developed by Subzero Labs designed for the "real world."
Related to its introduction, Rialo's biggest feature is the direct integration of Web 2 functionalities into the blockchain's foundational layer.
This way, Web 3 applications will meet or exceed Web 2 standards in terms of speed, usability, and cost, but with minimal engineering burden.
2. Funding Information
Rialo completed a $20 million seed round of funding in August 2025, led by the well-known crypto investment firm Pantera Capital.
Other participants include crypto venture capital firms Variant, Coinbase Ventures, Hashed, as well as Susquehanna Crypto, Mysten Labs, and others.
Notably, the investment lineup also includes tech-focused investors Mysten Labs and high-frequency trading firm Susquehanna Crypto.
3. Team Information
Rialo is led by Ade Adepoju and Lu Zhang, both of whom are early engineers at Mysten Labs.
It is well-known that the technology behind Sui originated from Zuckerberg's unsuccessful stablecoin project. Adepoju helped bring Sui from concept to full launch.
Similarly, Lu Zhang previously led engineering work for Meta's Diem project.
In addition, the core team of 20 members comes from well-known companies such as Meta, Apple, Google, Citadel, Solana, EigenLayer, and Coinbase.
4. Token Information
Although Rialo has not yet announced any token news, CEO Ade Adepoju has revealed that the funding deal includes equity and token warrants (i.e., allocations for yet-to-be-released cryptocurrencies).
This suggests that Rialo is set to issue tokens soon.
5. Interaction Methods
In terms of interaction, since Rialo is still a private DevNet, the testnet timeline has not been announced, and the current focus of interaction is on Discord roles, with levels gradually increasing.

Rialo Club Member - awarded to the best content creators in #club-tasks. Distributed every Tuesday.
RialOYAL - the most active member of the week. Updated weekly.

Badge X - awarded to event winners and honorary members.

RialOG - awarded to OG members of the community. (Initially distributed in large quantities)
6. Interaction Strategy
If you have a certain number of followers, it is recommended to strive for the RialORBIT role.
For regular users, it is advisable to be active on Discord, as there are great opportunities for both RialOYAL and Rialo Club Member roles.
Subsequently, based on the project's progress, participants will join the Rialo testnet. I speculate that the testnet will likely be similar to the current DevNet and will adopt a whitelist system.
