On August 5, the hybrid public chain project BOB (Build on Bitcoin) announced its participation in the Chainlink Scale program (Sustainable Chainlink Access for Layer 1 and 2 Enablement) launched by Chainlink, aiming to promote the expansion of its ecosystem and accelerate the development of the BTCFi industry.

Additionally, as part of this program, highly reliable, secure, and decentralized Chainlink Data Feeds have now been launched on the BOB network. Developers can now leverage the institution-grade Chainlink Data Feeds system to support the cold start of their projects. BOB's participation in Chainlink Scale will unlock more new use cases for both ecosystems and inject new growth momentum into BOB's Bitcoin DeFi ecosystem.

The Chainlink Scale program aims to provide the necessary infrastructure and special conditions for the development of blockchain and Layer 2, offering developers low-cost, reliable Chainlink services to accelerate ecosystem growth and BOB's long-term applications. As part of this program, Chainlink oracle nodes will provide a wide range of Data Feeds for the network—covering various asset classes from price data to proof of reserves, as well as other necessary oracle services. It is reported that earlier this year, BOB announced the integration of the Chainlink CCIP protocol as its native asset's standardized cross-chain infrastructure, and it also supports USDC and the current Open USDT.

BOB is a new type of hybrid public chain supported by the underlying security architecture of Bitcoin: a hybrid ZK Rollup based on Ethereum, where all applications, assets, and transactions on the BOB network are backed by billions of dollars worth of staked Bitcoin. This unique model combines the advantages of both the Bitcoin and Ethereum networks, providing the best entry point for Bitcoin DeFi, allowing Bitcoin holders to earn interest in the simplest and safest way.

BOB chose Chainlink Data Feeds because it offers many key features, such as:
