Today there is quite shocking news: SCAI has directly moved 100TB of research data onto Irys, not just storing a PDF, but almost transferring the entire research ecosystem onto the blockchain. What is SCAI? SCAI is a decentralized research project originating from Sci-Hub and is the world's largest repository of scientific literature. Its core goal is to reconstruct the production, storage, discovery, and incentive mechanisms of academic knowledge, allowing research results to be genuinely utilized by researchers and AI, rather than being locked away in centralized publishers.

In simpler terms, it is an open research infrastructure built on Web3 + AI, treating papers as "programmable data assets" and transforming the research network into a "knowledge graph usable by AI," which is a research-oriented project.

The fact that such an important research project has chosen to collaborate with @cnirysxyz and store all data in Irys indicates that Irys's model of integrating "data storage, data execution, and data verification" within the same underlying network has gained recognition from SCAI.

Irys is preparing to build a data execution network for AI. It treats data as programmable assets. Models can read data, verify reasoning, and call computing power on-chain, while also implementing pricing, authorization, profit-sharing, and verification functions through smart contracts. The most important aspect is to establish the credibility of data sources.
