The blockchain infrastructure project Ika has announced the official launch of its mainnet, opening a new chapter for cross-chain interoperability. This release also introduces the industry's first zero-trust multi-party computation (MPC) network, allowing developers to natively control multi-chain assets directly through smart contracts on the Sui blockchain.
Unlike traditional cross-chain bridges, wrapped tokens, and custodial intermediaries, Ika's protocol does not rely on any third parties. It enables smart contracts on Sui to directly and securely manage native assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and mainstream L1 and L2 assets, significantly reducing the trust costs and technical risks associated with cross-chain operations.
At the core of Ika is a signature system called dWallet—decentralized, programmable, and transferable. Through it, users can jointly participate in transaction signing with the Ika network, executing the predefined security logic in smart contracts. This allows developers and institutions to deploy truly cross-chain applications without sacrificing control.
Ika operates on its self-developed cryptographic protocol 2PC-MPC, which was previously thought to be difficult to apply in on-chain environments. However, Ika has successfully achieved sub-second latency, linear scalability, and true decentralization, with hundreds of nodes globally participating in validation. Each operation requires user participation, creating a zero-trust security network.
The network's native token, IKA, supports the operation and incentive mechanisms of the infrastructure: it serves as the core tool for transaction fees and anti-spam measures, and is also used to incentivize node operators and governance participation.
Since the launch of the Ika mainnet, several projects on Sui have begun to integrate, showcasing the protocol's diversity and scalability:
·Native: Unlocking Bitcoin liquidity natively to serve DeFi lending
·Human Tech: Building cross-chain "wallet-as-protocol" infrastructure
·Rhei Finance: Providing zero-trust multi-chain financial services for institutions
·Aeon: Creating AI-driven decentralized custody solutions
·Nativerse: Issuing a truly Bitcoin-backed stablecoin without wrapping
·Ekko: Embedding AI chatbots into the MPC architecture to enhance secure interactions
·Legacy Link: Offering on-chain compliance tools for crypto estate management
·Full Sail: Developing efficient AMMs to achieve cross-chain matching with Ika
"Today marks not only a technical milestone for Ika but also a turning point for the entire industry towards true native cross-chain interoperability," said Ika co-founder Omer Sadika. "Achieving zero-trust connectivity on Sui opens a new door for developers, institutions, and everyday users."
Ika is now fully open. Developers, financial institutions, and ecosystem participants can deploy multi-chain applications on Sui, join network validation, or use the protocol's capabilities to build the next generation of crypto products.
About Ika
Ika is the world's fastest parallel MPC network, featuring sub-second latency, ultra-high scalability, and zero-trust security guarantees. It is one of the core solutions for inter-chain interoperability, decentralized custody, and chain abstraction.
