The biggest advantage of long-term trading is its high fault tolerance; you don't have to strain to monitor the market. However, the choice of assets is particularly important for long-term trading. Among the assets I have held for more than one cycle, the most unsuccessful one should be $DOT. It's not that I haven't made money on DOT, but I was too idealistic. If I remember correctly, in 2022, the exchange rate between DOT and $SOL was 1:1 or even lower, meaning one DOT could be exchanged for one SOL.

If I had exchanged all my DOT for SOL, I could have reduced my struggle by at least five years. But the result is that I am now holding a bunch of DOT, and selling them is not an option, nor is not selling. Therefore, choosing the right assets is really important. If you plan to hold for the long term, top assets are still the most suitable.

The other assets, $BTC and $ETH, are also ones I have held for more than one cycle, and these are relatively stable.
