It's quite interesting to think about. In my own life, I often patch things up. Those who have seen my Xiaohongshu know that I spend about 20 yuan a day on food, and sometimes that 20 yuan can last me two days. However, when I'm out with friends, I tend to spend money like water. 🤣

It's not that I'm intentionally saving money; it's just that there aren't many places to spend it. I often have low material desires. I buy what I can afford, and there's no point in forcing myself to buy things I can't afford. When I'm out with Kitty, I do complain about still using a Mac from three years ago, which has an M1 chip. Sometimes, even using Excel can be a bit laggy.

The main reason I haven't upgraded is that I use my laptop very little. I hardly need it at home, and I only use it when I'm out, so it’s the kind of thing that can still be patched up and used. Therefore, I don't have a strong desire to replace it. The same goes for the Switch 2; mainly, I don't have any games I want to play, not even any that I want to buy, so I've just been putting it off until now.

However, I think having low material desires is quite good; it keeps my mood relatively calm.
