As I approach forty, I increasingly feel that those with fewer friends find it easier to approach freedom;

But true freedom is when you can still be yourself even if you have many friends, and that is more important.

Because that means you do not rely on "solitude" to maintain your self, but rather remain steadfast and clear amidst the torrent of various relationships.

This process can be aptly described in two words: self-consistency!

It is not about being cold or indifferent to the world, but rather that I can love, I can connect, but I do not cling; I can empathize, I can accompany, but I am not held hostage by emotions; I can say "yes," but I can also calmly say "no."

I remember Naval also said something similar: true freedom is doing what you want to do, not doing something out of fear, expectation, or the need for recognition.

I enjoy doing this simply because I like it, regardless of others!

At ease and content, finding joy in my own way!
