The pace of foreign capital inflow into U.S. assets is accelerating again.
According to Bank of America, foreign purchases of U.S. assets are expected to reach $138 billion by 2025, marking the second highest in history.
Since 2020, overseas investors have poured $547 billion into U.S. assets. This growth is primarily driven by U.S. equity funds, with net inflows into U.S. equity funds expected to reach $136 billion this year, the second highest since 2024.
In simple terms, a large number of investors from outside the U.S. are buying back U.S. stocks (including ETFs), which has boosted liquidity in the U.S. stock market.
