Recently, I have discussed stablecoins with many friends. The United States and Hong Kong are gradually legislating on stablecoins. In the future, stablecoins will likely fall into three categories: one is transaction-driven, such as USDT, USDC, and FDUSD; the second is payment-oriented, like the current PYUSD; and the third is yield-generating, such as $DUSD.

The first category mainly focuses on compliance, backed by the US dollar and US Treasury bonds, and is currently the most mainstream application. The second category has lower circulation in the cryptocurrency field and is primarily used for payments, supported by large payment channels and e-commerce, such as PayPal's PYUSD.

Finally, there are yield-generating stablecoins, which essentially convert users' mainstream assets into leveraged assets from the project side, achieving additional returns through leverage. Compliance and stability are certainly the safest aspects of the first type of stablecoin, while the second type is likely not closely related to the crypto space. The third type mainly revolves around protocol yields.
