Today, Solayer opened Devnet to the public, marking the first step in the launch of InfiniSVM—a blockchain that is infinitely scalable and hardware-accelerated.
InfiniSVM Overview
InfiniSVM introduces compatibility with the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) into a custom hardware-accelerated architecture, capable of processing over 1 million transactions per second. With sub-second confirmation times and ultra-low latency, it is the fastest general execution layer designed for on-chain finance, built from first principles to meet the demands of globally scaled applications.
Devnet is our publicly available early testing ground. Developers can explore, build, and test the results of our current development efforts here. Users can experience the potential of a hardware-accelerated blockchain, and we will collectively begin stress testing the foundation of this new financial internet.
Early Sandbox for Developers
Devnet is the initial version of our released network for public exploration. For developers, this is an opportunity to deploy applications using familiar Solana tools. RPC and API endpoints are accessible at devnet-rpc.solayer.org, and the LAYER token faucet, blockchain explorer, and decentralized exchange (DEX) are also live.
For users, this is a space for experimenting with Devnet-only applications, including token swaps through the native DEX interface.
We encourage developers to actively use Devnet. Deploy contracts, simulate production loads, seek edge cases, and report bugs. Everything in Devnet is in the early stages but is fully operational. We will continuously optimize performance, refine the network, and reset chain states as needed during the Devnet phase. For complete details, see here.
Looking Ahead
In the Devnet benchmarking environment, InfiniSVM has been able to stably handle over 250,000 TPS, with the goal of reaching over 1 million TPS after eliminating bottlenecks. The network is designed with horizontal scalability in mind, specifically including:
· Hardware offloading for dedicated compute and storage clusters
· Transaction parallel execution with speculative pre-processing
· Sub-second confirmation times
Whatever you are building, InfiniSVM is designed to meet the needs of real-time, globally scaled applications.
Support for Solana Ecosystem Developers
InfiniSVM is fully compatible with the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), providing developers who have built in the SVM ecosystem with a faster and more scalable network without the need to redesign their applications.
· Deploy existing Solana programs with no or minimal code changes
· Use familiar tools: Solana CLI, Web3.js, Anchor, etc.
· Maintain existing development workflows while unlocking significantly enhanced throughput and low latency
docs.solayer.org provides everything you need to get started, including faucets, RPC endpoints, and blockchain explorers.
Technical Support and Weekly Office Hours
To support the growing InfiniSVM developer ecosystem, the Solayer engineering team will regularly hold office hours on Discord to answer technical questions, review integrations, and help teams make the most of the network.
You can join our builders Telegram to interact with the Solayer engineering team and get answers to any questions.
Whether you are debugging contracts, testing throughput, or exploring architectural decisions, our engineers will help you uncover the potential that InfiniSVM brings to your applications.
Global Execution Layer for an Open Internet
To date, throughput limits, high latency, and fragmented execution environments have constrained what can be built on the blockchain.
InfiniSVM changes this landscape by introducing a brand-new execution layer, built from the ground up, compatible with SVM, and featuring native hardware acceleration, aimed at supporting the next generation of financial infrastructure.
Devnet is the starting point for all of this.
