Yesterday, a "short essay" circulated in the community about making a profit from 3000U to A8 in the Hyperliquid ecosystem. Although the authenticity of the content remains questionable, one thing is certain: the Hyperliquid ecosystem has once again demonstrated a wealth effect.
Two months have passed since the $JELLYJELLY incident, and the price of Hyperliquid's platform token $HYPE has not only reached an all-time high but has also gained widespread attention due to James Wynn. However, aside from $HYPE and James Wynn, there is another aspect of Hyperliquid that has been quietly developing: Hyperliquid's L1 HyperEVM.
Earlier this year, when HyperEVM was just launched, we introduced some of its native assets (related reading: “Niche Players Rejoice, Hyperliquid NFT Surprisingly Rises Against the Trend?”), such as Hyperliquid's flagship NFT Hypio, which rose from about $2,250 at the time of our introduction to over $10,000. Another example is $BUDDY, which saw an increase of nearly 3 times last week. Considering that 38.888% of Hyperliquid's tokenomics is allocated for future emissions and community rewards, participating during the bustling times of HyperEVM can yield profits from market movements, potential future $HYPE airdrops, and opportunities to earn airdrops through interactions within the ecosystem.
Let's take a look at the opportunities in various asset sectors of HyperEVM and how to participate.
How to Obtain $HYPE on HyperEVM
There are now cross-chain bridges that support directly exchanging assets from chains like ETH and Solana into $HYPE on HyperEVM, such as @deBridgeFinance, @SynapseProtocol, and @HyBridgeHL. If you prefer not to use a cross-chain bridge, you can deposit funds into Hyperliquid to purchase spot $HYPE and then transfer it to HyperEVM.
Previously, this process was somewhat cumbersome, requiring you to first deposit USDC onto the Arbitrum network:
After confirming the deposit, you would purchase $HYPE in the HYPE/USDC trading pair:
Once the purchase is successful, return to the Portfolio page and click on Transfer to EVM to move $HYPE to HyperEVM.
You can now also directly deposit Bitcoin, ETH, and SOL into Hyperliquid, although this deposit service is actually calling the interface of @hyperunit in the backend.
Coins on HyperEVM
Currently, the two largest DEXs on HyperEVM are @HyperSwapX and @KittenswapHype, both of which have point systems related to airdrops, with detailed task pages available on their official websites.
$PURR
The only meme coin on HyperEVM with a market cap over $100 million, currently close to $200 million. This was the first meme coin listed for spot trading on Hyperliquid, and the official Hyperliquid Hyper Assistance Fund purchased about 0.5% of $PURR earlier this year and has held it since.
The background of this coin is quite solid; it was announced as a meme coin when Hyperliquid announced the HIP-1 proposal at the end of March last year and was later airdropped to early Hyperliquid users, making it a sort of mascot for Hyperliquid.
$BUDDY
The most influential native meme on Hyperliquid, currently with a market cap of about $33 million. It initially gained support from the Hypio community, the largest NFT community on Hyperliquid, due to an airdrop to Hypio holders, and the phrase "alright buddy" has gradually become a common saying in the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
$HFUN
The most influential Telegram trading bot on Hyperliquid, which also serves as a Launchpad. Its current market cap is about $70 million.
$LIQD
A coin from Liquid Launch, functioning as a Launchpad and DEX aggregator, with a current market cap of about $35 million.
$PIP
This coin comes from the NFT series PiP & Friends. The current floor price of this series is close to $300, and it has been mentioned in our earlier article about Hyperliquid NFTs, making it one of the earlier active series in the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
Its current market cap is about $18 million. The project has used all NFT minting and sales revenue to buy back and burn 9% of the total token supply and has announced that it will continue to buy back, which may be the reason for its attention.
$JEFF
A coin named after Hyperliquid Founder @chameleon_jeff as a tribute, currently with a market cap of about $13 million.
$JPEG
The platform token for the Hyperliquid NFT trading market Drip.Trade, currently with a market cap of about $10 million. This coin initially allocated only 10% for airdrop, and now trading on it can earn points, with 40% of the tokens still to be used for future community rewards according to its tokenomics.
Hyperliquid DeFi
HyperLend
The largest lending platform in the Hyperliquid ecosystem, also supports circular lending and staking for yield, with a current TVL of about $300 million.
The official website has a point system related to airdrops.
