That year I was 21, in the golden age of my life, I had many extravagant wishes. I wanted to love, to eat, to travel through mountains and rivers, and I also wanted to transform into the half-bright, half-dark clouds in the sky in an instant.
Later I realized that life is a slow process of being hammered down, people grow old day by day, and extravagant wishes fade away day by day, eventually becoming like a cow that has been beaten.
But I did not foresee this on my 21st birthday. I felt that I would always be vigorous, that nothing could hammer me down.
Until one night while walking the dog, I inadvertently noticed a white hair at my temple… I decided to let go of some things like Maugham and pursue the extravagant wishes I had at 21—EBC + Gokyo.
After resting in Kathmandu for a few days, I’m sharing my trekking gear for reference for partners on the Nepal EBC + Gokyo route.
