In April, the earnings from holding 1,000 BNB are approximately around $4,000, equivalent to about 5,200 Singapore dollars. Assuming one only holds 1,000 BNB, the passive income has already reached the median level of per capita income in Singapore. If it's a single local resident, this income can basically cover their living expenses.

However, for a single foreigner renting a place, this income might be a bit tight, but it is indeed free money, roughly a 10% annualized return on the holdings. Viewed this way, the return rate is still acceptable.

The main reason for the decrease in returns is the severe disputes between project parties and investors. Many investors are reluctant to buy spot, and the project parties are also unwilling to pump the price to allow airdrop users to exit at high levels. Therefore, in most cases, the opening is at a low market cap, and recent projects have been like this, which has reduced the returns.

Another friend asked whether it is still advisable to invest in BNB as a golden shovel. I wouldn't really recommend that, as I bought it at a relatively low price, and now I have a zero-cost holding. I have enough patience to earn passive income, and BNB is also one of the four assets I dollar-cost average into. So whether you are willing to buy depends on whether you can accept a 10% return rate and whether you are willing to take the risk of potential declines in the future.

After all, there is still a probability that the U.S. will enter a recession or economic downturn. If that happens, it will inevitably impact prices. So if you are not prepared for losses, it’s better not to enter the market rashly.
