On March 7, fast food chain Steak ‘n Shake posted a question on X asking, “Should Steak ‘n Shake accept bitcoin?” The post received a slew of responses from many well-known Bitcoin personalities including former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and Bitcoin Core contributor Luke Dashjr. Steak ‘n Shake recently aligned itself with the pro-crypto Trump administration, particularly with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK) who is a known bitcoin enthusiast. On Thursday, the restaurant chain posted a photo of a futuristic freighter with a prominent Bitcoin logo and the tagline “delivering beef tallow on Mars,” an apparent nod to RFK, who loves beef tallow, and billionaire Elon Musk, who wants to colonize Mars. If the fast food outlet follows through and starts accepting bitcoin (BTC) payments at all locations, the cryptocurrency would suddenly be available to more than 100 million Steak ‘n Shake customers.
