If you are familiar with the previous SupraOracles, we would like to formally reintroduce ourselves: we have grown into the integrated public chain Supra. The Early Journey of SupraOracles

When we first entered the blockchain space, we appeared as SupraOracles, a name that accurately reflected our core service at the time—oracle services. Oracles serve as a bridge between blockchain networks and the outside world, providing critical data support for smart contracts. At that time, we found a lack of a secure, efficient, and scalable oracle solution in the market, which led to the birth of SupraOracles. Our goal was to address this critical pain point while also providing essential infrastructure for over 100 decentralized applications (dApps).

This was the prologue to our journey in the blockchain industry, but our vision still aims to create a complete ecosystem, enabling developers to seamlessly integrate various native services on an L1 smart contract network.

Advancing Supra: A Fully Vertically Integrated L1 Blockchain

From the very beginning, we understood that to build a blockchain that natively supports oracles, randomness (dVRF), automation, and cross-chain communication, we needed to create a powerful and highly scalable network. Therefore, we adopted a phased approach. The first phase was to launch as SupraOracles, becoming a trusted oracle service provider in the market; at the same time, we began developing a more ambitious project: the world's first fully vertically integrated Layer 1 blockchain.

The Development Journey of the Supra Network

The team has been designing and building the Supra L1 smart contract platform behind the scenes, focusing on consensus algorithms, "tribe" & "clan" network architecture, as well as protocols for native oracles, randomness, and cross-chain communication services. All related white papers and research findings have now been published on our website.

One of the significant breakthroughs is our development of the Moonshot consensus algorithm. Unlike the consensus algorithms of other L1 blockchains, Moonshot has been formally verified, mathematically proving its correctness and security. This feature is quite rare in the blockchain field, providing Supra with a significant advantage. Moonshot is not only secure but also extremely fast, achieving 500,000 TPS throughput and sub-second consensus finality across a network of 300 global nodes. This provides a robust infrastructure for our vertically integrated network.

After years of research and testing, we have finally reached this critical moment. We will launch the MoveVM version testnet in the second quarter of 2024, with the mainnet going live in the fourth quarter of this year, followed by the release of our EVM version.
