As the cryptocurrency market slightly declines due to regional political tensions, market attention and investment enthusiasm have once again returned to the Meme coin sector. The difference is that today's Meme coins are somewhat similar to the "zoo market" of a few years ago, yet significantly different: on one hand, there is a continuous emergence of "established players"—celebrity coins; on the other hand, following various animal-themed tokens including hippos, a new wave of emoji-themed tokens has appeared.
Odaily Planet Daily will briefly review the main projects in the Meme coin PVP battle in this article for readers' reference. (Odaily Planet Daily Note: The market for Meme coins is highly volatile, and investment risks are high; please choose investment targets cautiously.)
WAP: A well-known song by a top rapper, is it a paid shout-out or a personal project?
On October 8, top female rapper Cardi B suddenly posted a “shout-out tweet” claiming her cat's name is WAP, combining it with her well-known song "Wet Ass Pussy," calling on fans to buy the token of the same name, WAP. Due to the tweet's starkly different style from her previous posts and its bluntness, only a few players in the market reacted, with many believing her X platform account had been hacked. Odaily Planet Daily also followed up immediately; subsequently, an initial investigation by on-chain detective Wazz showed that the cryptocurrency promoted by American social media celebrity Cardi B traced back to a scam origin, with the project's wallet address linked to multiple rug pull projects.
However, on the 9th, Cardi B again posted a video featuring herself, once again promoting WAP, and the market reacted strongly; 12 hours prior, she had posted another tweet with an image of her holding a blue British Shorthair cat, which was the previously mentioned WAP. The Meme coin experienced significant fluctuations, with the peak price approaching $0.04.

🐬miharu: GameStop Takes Action Again, This Time with Marine Animals
On the evening of October 9, the X platform account @XData posted an image of a smiling dolphin, stating, "This Meme has over 32 million views on the X platform." Due to a previous post featuring an animal-related image of the internet-famous "hippo" MOODENG on September 21, the market had exceptional trust in its "shout-out ability," causing the related Meme token miharu to surge 50 times to a market cap of $3 million. Odaily Planet Daily also followed up immediately.
On October 11, GameStop posted an image of a smiling dolphin on the X platform. Due to its strong appeal to retail investors, the miharu token briefly broke $0.01, with its market cap instantly surpassing $11 million. As the Meme continued to spread, the project's token price once approached $0.02; its market cap briefly exceeded $20 million, but in the fierce PVP competition, the project was subsequently drained by other new projects, and its market cap has significantly declined.

🧲 Magnet: New ID Suffix, New Identity Symbol
On October 9, on-chain detective ZachXBT posted that he discovered 11 addresses highly associated with crypto KOL Murad, holding about $24 million in Meme tokens, instantly focusing the crypto market's attention on Murad himself. Previously, Murad had given a speech titled "The Super Cycle of Meme Coins" at the Token2049 event, attracting considerable attention; he had also achieved a 61-fold return on the SPX token in four months, profiting $23.6 million, with the latest data showing he has now achieved 79-fold returns; Rug Radio founder Farokh also posted a video tweet of a previous online interview with Murad on the 9th, detailing his experiences after entering the crypto world and his views on the current market situation, with his admiration for Meme coins being seen as another "Meme coin shout-out king" by the market.
13 hours ago, another strong shout-out crypto KOL RookieXBT tweeted, "🧲 What does it mean? It means hope; it means believing in something; this is our world, and others just live in it." He assigned a different meaning to the 🧲 emoji symbol. Subsequently, the market reacted, and Meme coin projects with the ID "Magnet🧲" quickly emerged, rapidly capturing market attention, and their market cap soared. RookieXBT later added, "Disclosure: I'm drunk right now. Clearly, people have launched a Meme coin called magnet, and it seems my real-name wallet has received a considerable token supply; I won't sell before a higher price and promise to donate 100% of it to charity when I do."
Murad also joined in on this "symbol frenzy," adding the 🧲 symbol to his ID suffix; well-known on-chain players like POW and other "Meme coin barometers" quickly followed suit. The latest news shows that staqi.sol achieved a 421-fold return through trading Magnet tokens within 12 hours, netting 1,238 SOL (about $180,000), and still holds 3.74 million Magnet tokens, valued at about $45,000.

Summary: The future imagination of Meme coins is limitless, but PVP remains the mainstream gameplay.
In a previous article titled “Neiro and NEIRO Listed on Binance, Is the Meme Coin Track Facing a Turning Point?”, we mentioned that the conclusion of the Neiro/NEIRO case sensitivity dispute has opened a new turning point for the Meme coin sector. Many in the community jokingly suggested that playing with Meme coins in the future might require ambushing a variety of emojis: “🐶🐱🐭🐹🐰🦊🐻🐼🐨🐯🦁🐮🐷🐽🐸🐵🐒🐔🐧🐦🐤🐣🐥🦆🦅🦉🦇🐺🐗🐴🦄🐝🐛🦋🐌🐞🐜🦟🦗🕷🕸🦂🐢🐉🐍🦎🦖🦕🐙🦑🦐🦞🦀🐡🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🦈🐊🐅🐆🦓🦍🐘🦛🦏🐪🐫🦒🦘🐂🐃🐄🐎🐖🐏🐑🦙🐐🦌🐕🐩🐈🐓🦃🦚🦜🦢🕊🐇🦝🦡🐁🐀🐿🦔🐾🐕🦺🦮🦩🦧🦥🦦🦨🪲🦭🪶🦤🐻❄🦫🦣🦬🐈⬛🐶🐱🐭🐹🐰🦊🐻🐼🐨🐯🦁🐮🐷🐽🐸🐵🐒🐔🐧🐦🐤🐣🐥🦆🦅🦉🦇🐺🐗🐴🦄🐝🐛🦋🐌🐞🐜🦟🦗🕷🕸🦂🐢🐉🐍🦎🦖🦕🐙🦑🦐🦞🦀🐡🐠🐟🐬🐳🐋🦈🐊🐅🐆🦓🦍🐘🦛🦏🐪🐫🦒🦘🐂🐃🐄🐎🐖🐏🐑🦙🐐🦌🐕🐩🐈🐓🦃🦚🦜🦢🕊🐇🦝🦡🐁🐀🐿🦔🐾🐕🦺🦮🦩🦧🦥🦦🦨🪲🦭🪶🦤🐻❄🦫🦣🦬🐈⬛,” with each type having about 5-6 variations, one uppercase and one lowercase; one with a community and one without; one for transferring coins to Vitalik, and one for transferring coins to Binance.
The emoji suffix gameplay may also become the next "gimmick" for Meme coin projects, but it is certain that in the limited liquidity of the crypto market, the mainstream gameplay of the Meme coin sector remains PVP—either being one step ahead or diving into the crowd.
