From a developer's perspective, Scroll can even be considered as Ethereum itself; Vitalik has even tweeted recommendations about it.
Many people are concerned that Scroll is a project led by Chinese individuals, but it cannot be ignored that its financing background is quite impressive.
It is worth noting that during the bear market, just one week after launching the testnet, Scroll completed a $50 million financing round with participation from Polychain Capital, Sequoia China, IOSG, OKX, etc., with a valuation of $1.8 billion.
With total investments exceeding $80 million, regardless of whether the VC valuation is inflated, the data clearly indicates one point —
This project is at least highly anticipated, and it is one of the few projects with decent momentum among the currently declining L2s. Moreover, Scroll's co-founders are very skilled at generating traffic. Currently, it has attracted $1.2 billion in TVL, and many players have been following along since the testnet.

$SCR is the native utility and governance token of Scroll, which can be used for the following functions:
① Governance: It will be activated on the launch day. SCR token holders can vote on governance decisions related to the development of the Scroll protocol.
② Future uses: SCR will serve as the protocol token, used for decentralized orderers and provers, and coordinate innovations in a multi-chain world to expand the market.

Currently, the pre-trading price of SCR on Gate is 1.5 USD. If it opens at this price, the initial circulating market cap will be 285 million, with an FDV of 1.5 billion. This data is not too outrageous for a highly anticipated L2 public chain; it could even soar further.
Therefore, I believe the reasonable opening price should be between 1.5 and 2 USD.
