On August 13-14, local time, the annual Canada's largest Web3 event, the Blockchain Futurist Conference, was held in Toronto. As one of the sponsors, WEEX Exchange attended the conference. Andrew Weiner, Vice President of WEEX Global, introduced WEEX's vision, platform token WXT, and WEEX Launchpool product during his speech. He also interacted with Funk, Market Advisor of K9 Finance DAO (KNINE), and Calvin Weight, Co-founder of Rain Coin (RAIN), both partners of WEEX, at the event. The following are excerpts from their speeches.

Andrew: Hello, everyone. I am Andrew Weiner, Vice President of WEEX Global. Some of you may not be familiar with the name WEEX. We started building this product overseas in 2018 and entered the market in 2020. Today, we have over 3 million traders in nearly 100 countries and regions worldwide.

With over 700 exchanges in the current market, you may wonder why choose WEEX, why now, and why here?

Traders and users in this field still face many barriers. If you are a trader, you may need 3-5 or even 6 accounts on multiple exchanges to access everything useful in the industry. You may encounter barriers during registration, deposit selection, choice, available services, and educational resources on how to use these products.

This is so urgent for innovative projects and service types within the industry, such as alternative assets, DeFi projects, GameFi, NFTs, Web3, and even AI, all of which need a reliable destination for users to obtain an end-to-end experience with less resistance.

Funk: Hello, thank you very much for inviting me to the stage. Everyone is familiar with Shiba Inu, which is a top 15 token. Two years after the launch of Shiba Inu, the community rallied and built a technical ecosystem around Shiba Inu. A year ago today, in Toronto, they launched the Shibarium blockchain L2, similar to Matic and Base Chain. Shibarium is seeking to gain a major market share of L2 traders. How are they doing this? They need TVL, they need on-chain trading volume. How do they achieve this? This is where K9 Finance comes in.

For those familiar with Lido Finance, it is Ethereum's leading liquidity staking derivative, significantly increasing Ethereum's trading volume. This is what we want to do for Shibarium, allowing people to lock the Gas token of the chain and earn from it, while increasing Shibarium's TVL and trading volume. We are the official partners of Shiba Inu and have extensive cooperation with them, receiving support from them on social media and more. So, our relationship is very close, and we will work hard to help the SHIB Army build Shibarium.

Calvin: First of all, I want to talk about why we decided to list on WEEX. We have always been committed to finding a global audience for our token, hoping to fully embrace the global market, and WEEX is the gateway to showcase our token to an excellent global audience. I have known Andrew for a while, and his joining WEEX is definitely a plus for us. Because we know that with him behind the company, it gives us a lot of confidence.

Let me briefly introduce what we have done with Rain Coin. Rain Coin was initially an experiment and has now become an interesting economic construct. We explored how to create a token as a store of value. We minted 1 million RAIN tokens and locked them all in a liquidity pool, so there is no team, no controlled wallet, no foundation, nothing to create selling pressure on the token.

Then we added a 1% redistribution share in the smart contract, which means that 1% of any token circulating on our blockchain network is redistributed to the holders. This gives holders an incentive to buy and hold because they are actually earning cash flow or interest on their assets.

So, we have created a scarce digital asset with no team, token unlocks, or any similar internal selling pressure. And it even generates yield while in cold storage. Now, to take it to the next level, we have truly added some gamified elements. Our community is growing, and everyone is very interested in creating some additional value for themselves by staking Rain Coin.
