According to Tencent Finance's "First Line" exclusive information from different sources, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission urgently updated the list of virtual asset management funds in the early hours of April 10 because it plans to announce the list of the first batch of spot Bitcoin ETFs in Hong Kong on April 15. The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission originally planned to approve four spot Bitcoin ETFs in the first batch, in addition to CSOP, there are also Huaxia Fund, Bosera Fund, and WisdomTree Financial. However, Bosera Fund and WisdomTree Financial did not appear in the list of virtual asset management funds updated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission in the early hours of April 10. According to the Hong Kong process, after the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission approves the first batch of spot Bitcoin ETFs on April 15, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will need about 2 weeks to prepare for product listing and other matters. However, the early stage of the spot Bitcoin ETF project and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange have had detailed communication and plans in advance, and it is expected to be completed in about 10 days. The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission originally planned to list the spot Bitcoin ETF in Hong Kong around April 25, at the latest by the end of April.
Huaxia Fund (Hong Kong) has been approved by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to provide virtual asset management services to investors. It plans to issue ETF products that can invest in spot Bitcoin and spot Ethereum.
Huaxia Fund (Hong Kong) has conducted research and deployment with its partners OSL Digital Securities Limited and the custodian Bank of China International (UK) BOCI-Prudential Trust Company.
