After the market for Bitcoin NFT series dominated by Chinese, such as Bitcoin Frogs and Goosinals, cooled down, OMB (Ordinals Maxi Biz), a Bitcoin NFT project with significant influence in the English-speaking community and a relatively low total supply, has garnered more attention. OMB's market started after the 10K craze, rising from around 0.2 Bitcoin to over 0.5 Bitcoin and has remained stable.
The Pizza Ninjas we are introducing this time is also a Bitcoin NFT project with significant influence in the English-speaking community and a relatively low total supply. Compared to OMB, Pizza Ninjas has an even lower total supply and has gained strong popularity in the Chinese community. Pizza Ninjas, which has garnered consensus from both Chinese and international communities, is highly likely to become another Bitcoin NFT new blue chip alongside Taproot Wizards (not yet released) and OMB.
Overview of Pizza Ninjas Project
The total supply of Pizza Ninjas is 1,500, with a sale price of 0.02 Bitcoin. Among them, 300 Free Mint qualifications were distributed through LimitBreak (a Web3 gaming company that issued the Digi Daigaku NFT series)’s Free NFT platform, and over 700 people shared videos of themselves wearing ninja costumes and eating pizza on Twitter to compete for Free Mint qualifications.
Team Background
The Pizza Ninja team currently consists of 6 members, which may sound small but is very strong. Co-founder trevor.btc@TO is one of the top KOLs in the Bitcoin NFT ecosystem and hosts the most influential Twitter Space in the Bitcoin NFT community, "The Ordinal Show." Trevor is also a managing partner of the Bitcoin Frontier Fund, which has invested $7.5 million in the most influential NFT project, Taproot Wizards. He has invested in over 50 Bitcoin ecosystem startups.
Apart from Trevor, Pizza Ninjas also has two other co-founders, Max Savin and Sihoon Kim.
Max Savin is a full-stack developer and designer with extensive entrepreneurial experience. Before joining Pizza Ninjas, he developed and launched several cross-platform apps with good revenue, including Color Schemer and IntroKit. Color Schemer, a software that creates colors based on all known spectrums and algorithms, played an important role in Pizza Ninjas' color design.
Sihoon Kim graduated from the top engineering university in South Korea, the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and previously served as a chief engineer at a VC-backed startup.
Artist boozy.btc is a co-founder of the counterfeit culture platform that helps new artists enter the Ordinals ecosystem. He has been active in the Bitcoin ecosystem for a long time and released multiple NFT series on Stacks before the Ordinals ecosystem became popular.
Before the Pizza Ninjas PFP series, the team already had a mature NFT tracking tool called Ninjalerts, which helps Ethereum NFT players track specific addresses or NFT series activities and provides them with real-time push notifications. Strictly speaking, Pizza Ninjas is a product under Ninjalerts.
Project Highlights
Pizza Ninjas is considered a potential Bitcoin NFT new blue chip for several reasons:
Sincere and Careful Design
Twitter is the core hub for communication in the NFT community and the most frequent place for NFT players worldwide to interact. Therefore, it is crucial for a PFP to be suitable as a Twitter avatar.
Pizza Ninjas was designed based on this principle. By using recursive inscriptions, Pizza Ninjas can engrave high-resolution images of 10,000 x 10,000 pixels on the Bitcoin network, allowing holders to share the complete Pizza Ninjas image on Twitter. Additionally, the Twitter avatar is one of the most important identity symbols for NFT players, and Pizza Ninjas' design ensures that the avatar "catches the eye" when viewed directly.
Another detail is that the head position of the Pizza Ninjas image is lower than that of a typical PFP, and the head is slightly tilted to the left, allowing holders using Pizza Ninjas as a Twitter avatar to avoid too much obstruction even when using bubble emojis in Twitter Space.
In the images, it can also be noted that all Pizza Ninjas have an orange background. Friends familiar with the Bitcoin NFT ecosystem will know that orange is an important feature of the Bitcoin NFT ecosystem, and many Bitcoin NFT-related tweets use orange emoji expressions (such as orange hearts). The once-popular BRC-20 project $OXBT even used the mass distribution of orange square emoji expressions as one of its operational methods during its launch phase. Using orange as the background is a declaration for holders to announce "I am a Bitcoin NFT player" and can resonate with Bitcoin NFT players.
When it comes to the design of each character, Pizza Ninjas follows 5 core principles to strike a balance between simplicity and diversity, and to ensure that each character is unique enough:
- Make each Pizza Ninjas look simple, aesthetically consistent, and unique enough.
- Differentiate each Pizza Ninjas through variations in eye and head features.
- Add additional features if the minter likes :)
- Carefully and intentionally match colors.
- Pay homage to Web3 culture, nostalgia, and Ordinals culture (you can see elements such as Kevin, TV head, ninja turtles, wizard hats, and OMB in the image).
These thoughtful designs ultimately make everyone feel cared for by providing a personalized character design process for minters. I filled out my Pizza Ninjas customization form very seriously, where I could choose the type of character, various features, overall style, and provide a description for the artist to reference. Of course, the rare features were mostly taken by the top-ranked participants in the whitelist activity.
It's worth mentioning that all Pizza Ninjas will be engraved on Rare Cong.
trevor's Personal Influence and Excellent Marketing Skills
trevor's influence in the Bitcoin NFT community has been introduced in the team background section. Here, I want to emphasize the biggest impression trevor has left on me—
trevor is an energy monster!
I am not a big influencer, but in a long tweet introducing Pizza Ninjas, trevor was attracted to the comments section, and I even tagged him in a tweet, and he responded again. Honestly, I find it hard to imagine that a big V like trevor, whose Twitter notifications and messages are exploding, would notice me. My friends joke that I live on Twitter, and after meeting trevor, I feel inferior…
Here's an interlude about trevor and the team carefully screening whitelist participants. I can't speak for other projects, but trevor definitely checked each one seriously, and the initial holder group's diamond level should be very good. trevor, the energy monster.
trevor has lived in China, so he can understand many Chinese tweets. Importantly, he personally values expanding into the Chinese market, for example:
trevor also put together a "Twitter Badge Package" for all minters. Those who have already chosen their Pizza Ninjas character will be invited to become affiliated accounts of Ninjalerts, essentially providing everyone with free Twitter Premium+ service, a blue badge, and a Twitter Pizza Ninjas badge.
This is not only a tangible benefit that helps everyone use more Twitter features, but also an excellent way to build community identity. Not only can you see your Pizza Ninja Twitter badge every day, but others who see it are likely to be interested—what company is this?
Well done, trevor.
The Best Bitcoin NFT Project to Date to Garner Consensus from Both Chinese and International Communities
The Chinese Discord community for Pizza Ninjas is the most active among the Bitcoin NFT projects I've observed. Several aspects indicate the popularity of Pizza Ninjas in the Chinese community:
- Chinese Bitcoin NFT KOL/Builders have changed their Twitter avatars to Pizza Ninjas, such as z3th.eth, the founder of OrdzGame, and shep.eth, who had in-depth discussions with domo in the early days of BRC-20, among others.
- Many of my Chinese friends in my network have changed their avatars to Pizza Ninjas (the last time I saw this was with Bitcoin Frogs, but in my opinion, the influence of Bitcoin Frogs in the English-speaking community is not as great as Pizza Ninjas).
- I previously saw someone offering 500U off-whitelist for Pizza Ninjas.
In the English-speaking community, you can now see many people with Pizza Ninjas avatars participating in Twitter Spaces related to Ordinals. To describe the influence of Pizza Ninjas in the English-speaking community more specifically, top Bitcoin NFT influencers such as @LeonidasNFT, @billyrestey, and one of my favorite Bitcoin NFT artists, @ccovvrr, have also joined the Pizza Ninjas camp. Even Ethereum NFT influencer @nftboi_ tweeted to rally people to mint…
Conclusion
There is still a chance to get on the whitelist for Pizza Ninjas. To do so, visit https://www.ninjalerts.com/ordinals, connect your Xverse wallet and Twitter account, complete the given tasks to earn points, and the top 1000 users in points can get on the whitelist.
Given the current level of competition, everyone needs to rally their friends to support them.
Finally, I really love the Bitcoin Pizza meme, and it's because of this love that I created Bitcoin Pizzas. Despite my resistance to whitelists, I still joined the army to rally people.
The image quality of Pizza Ninjas itself is very impressive, and combined with trevor's influence and the consensus from both Chinese and international communities, I have high expectations for this project to stand out with the combined efforts of both communities.
