Mantle Network, the first Layer 2｜Crypto to use EigenDA, Daily News Summary Aug. 23

Mantle Network is an Optimistic Rollup developed by BitDAO. It adopts a modular design to execute the core functions of blockchain operations on a dedicated Layer, aiming to reduce costs and improve overall performance.

This Layer 2 is based on Optimism's OVM system fork as the execution layer, and its security as Layer 2 depends on Ethereum. The uniqueness of Mantle Network lies in its data availability layer.

It is the first Rollup planned to use the EigenDA data availability solution through EigenLayer after launch. EigenDA will correspond as the mainnet layer of the data availability layer in a modular blockchain structure, focusing on the security and accurate storage of transaction data.

The core function of the data availability (DA) layer is to accurately record transaction data while ensuring accessibility and verifiability.
