PANews April 30 news, according to Fortune magazine, Elon Musk was asked how to explain cryptocurrency to the jury during the lawsuit against OpenAI, saying, "Some cryptocurrencies have value, but most are scams." This question and answer stemmed from OpenAI's early consideration of fundraising through an ICO to issue tokens. Musk was also accused of having supported the related ICO plan. The report pointed out that Musk previously supported crypto assets loudly during the bull market, pushing Tesla to purchase $1.5 billion in Bitcoin in 2021 and repeatedly posting to boost Dogecoin. Tesla sold about 75% of its Bitcoin in 2022, currently holding approximately 11,509 coins, which are still worth about $786 million after recognizing an impairment of $222 million as per regulatory filings in the first quarter.
