Binance, a global cryptocurrency exchange, launched a national initiative on April 2 to strengthen Ukraine’s digital infrastructure. The program, called the Digital Resilience Lab, focuses on accelerating Web3 solutions through funding, mentorship, and ecosystem access for local participants.

Chief Executive Officer Richard Teng shared on X that Binance is working with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Web3 Institute, and Lviv IT Cluster on the initiative. He stated:

“Binance is launching the Digital Resilience Lab in Ukraine … we are supporting practical Web3 solutions backed by up to $500K in grants.”

“Grateful to our partners for their collaboration and shared commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s digital resilience,” the executive added. Binance explained that the initiative includes a grant pool of up to $500,000, with top projects eligible for funding of up to $25,000 each. The crypto firm noted: “This effort underscores Binance’s commitment to aiding students, veterans, and entrepreneurs across Ukraine by providing funding, mentorship, and access to its global Web3 ecosystem and expertise.”

The Digital Resilience Lab is a collaborative effort involving Binance, Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation, Lviv IT Cluster, and the Web3 Institute. The initiative targets early-stage ideas using blockchain, digital technologies, and Web3 tools to address real-world challenges. The partnership combines financial backing, policy alignment, technical expertise, and research-driven mentorship to support scalable innovation across different sectors.

The program follows a multi-stage selection process designed to ensure transparency and community engagement. Applicants submit proposals during the application phase, then shortlisted projects advance based on feasibility, relevance, and potential impact. A public voting stage allows community participation before final selections are made. The top 20 projects receive funding, mentorship, and access to the ecosystem. The initiative is open to students, veterans, and entrepreneurs, supporting skills development, reskilling opportunities, and scalable digital solutions.
