Trust Wallet is a self-custody crypto wallet under Binance co-founder Zhao Changpeng ("CZ"), and it is the latest wallet to enter the prediction market.
Trust Wallet announced the launch of the "Predictions" feature on Tuesday, which is a new wallet-native area that allows users to trade and earn on real-world events in a fully self-custodied manner.
"Eligible users can view events, take positions on outcomes (such as yes or no), and track the development of each event over time, all within the existing Trust Wallet," Trust Wallet stated.
Starting Tuesday, Trust Wallet's "Predictions" feature will aggregate markets from multiple platforms, enabling users to make prediction trades on a wide range of topics, including cryptocurrencies, politics, sports, entertainment, and global events.
Trust Wallet's entry into the prediction market began with the integration of the Web3 prediction market protocol Myriad, with plans to soon expand to major platforms like Kalshi and Polymarket.
"The prediction feature launched today on Trust Wallet is powered by Myriad," Trust Wallet CEO Eowyn Chen noted in an interview with Cointelegraph, adding that Kalshi and Polymarket are expected to join in the coming weeks.
Myriad launched in March and is a new entrant in the prediction market space, reaching a cumulative trading volume of $100 million by the end of November.
In contrast, data compiled by Dunedata on Dune Analytics shows that major prediction markets like Kalshi, Opinion, and Polymarket handle about $1 billion in trading volume daily.
Trust Wallet's move into the prediction market comes just weeks after its partnership with Ondo Finance to launch tokenized stocks in September, reflecting the trend of unifying different trading tools within a single platform.
In October, major crypto wallet MetaMask announced a partnership with Polymarket aimed at enabling users to make prediction trades directly from their wallets.
"People shouldn't need five apps to express what they think will happen next," Trust Wallet CEO Chen emphasized the company's vision of providing secure and simple access to emerging markets.
