Junk.Fun is a Solana MEME recycling platform supported by @bonk_inu and incubated by @MantaNetwork.

Users can destroy "zero MEME, passive junk airdrops, NFTs" on Junk.Fun to exchange for SOL. After destruction, users will receive Credits on Junk.Fun.

Credits have two usage paths:

1) Direct withdrawal, receiving the 0.002 SOL that should belong to you, which is occupied by "zero MEME, passive junk airdrops, NFTs" in your wallet.

2) Open Junk.Fun chests to win more SOL, physical prizes (like an iPhone), NFTs, and other rewards in future airdrops.

During the first month of the event, Junk.Fun will distribute at least $50,000 in prizes.

Here is a detailed tutorial and principle analysis,

1/ Go to https://www.junk.fun/?ref=EE9BW. Connect your Solana wallet in the upper right corner.

2/ The bottom displays the five main functional modules of Junk.Fun, which are:

1) Junk Destruction

2) Chest

3) Rewards

4) Points

6) Refer

1) Junk Destruction

First, click on Junk Destruction. As shown in the image, you will see the details of the MEME and NFTs you hold, including the passive zero airdrops received.

Click on the token on the left, then click on Trash Junk on the right to destroy it and obtain Credits.

Currently, some MEME tokens do not directly display their abbreviations and logos, as the functionality is still being improved. Additionally, tokens like $USDT, $USDC, $TRUMP, and $PENGU have been added to the whitelist to prevent accidental destruction.

After destruction, as shown in the image, you will receive Credits and Points. Credits are essentially the SOL retrieved after destroying MEME and NFTs.

Points, to some extent, affect the rarity probability of the chests opened.

2) Chest

Open chests on the Chests page to receive corresponding rewards. Click WIN IN LOTTERY to participate in the lottery and win bigger rewards.

There is a 46% chance of winning lottery rewards;

Opening a legendary treasure can yield up to 60% of the total prize pool.

3) Rewards

Enter this page to participate in the lottery. During the first month of the event, Junk.Fun will distribute at least $50,000 in prizes.

4) Refer

On the referral page, you can view the invitation code, invite more friends, earn more points, and increase the probability of winning big prizes.

Detailed Explanation of Solana Account Rent Mechanism

Did you know that every junk airdrop in your Solana wallet deducts 0.002 SOL from you?

That's right, this is the account rent mechanism of Solana. Some may ask, I wasn't charged rent when I created my Solana address.

Okay, before understanding the Solana account mechanism, let's distinguish between the concepts of address and account.

In the Solana architecture, account ≠ address. Solana addresses are created for free, can receive assets, sign transactions, and do not occupy on-chain storage.

This is crucial: they do not occupy on-chain storage.

So when is "rent" charged? It is when on-chain storage is occupied.

How is on-chain storage occupied calculated? Suppose someone transfers USDC to you, the Solana system needs to create a "USDC Token" account, which requires deducting 0.002 from your SOL balance as rent. Once the account is created, the USDC arrives.

Another common situation is passively receiving junk coin airdrops, where the system will automatically create a junk coin Token account for you, deducting 0.002 SOL as rent. Your wallet ends up with junk airdrops, and your SOL decreases.

So, the relationship between address and account is similar to having multiple accounts opened in your name to receive different tokens. Each time an account is opened, 0.002 SOL rent is required. However, many times, account creation is passive.

The following Solscan shows the situation of the MEME token SBAE, where the SOL Balance of 0.002039 is the rent.

On the USDC page, although the SOL Balance is not displayed, the Owner Program is the Token Program, which means rent still needs to be paid.

Why is there "rent"?

It is actually to prevent state explosion, similar to DDOS attacks, and to prevent someone from maliciously spamming tokens on-chain.

The actual situation is to reduce the cost of normal project airdrops, turning it into a "who benefits pays." This has been exploited by many junk MEME creators to create false holding address data.

The essence of Junk.Fun is to help users recover the SOL rent that is passively deducted.
